If you make repeat and frequent shipments on WebCargo, you can create a directory of your most frequent searches using the Search manager tool. Use this directory to automatically fill in the shipment details to save yourself time.
You can also view your most recent searches, which are stored within your account for a maximum of 30 days from searching.
Click on any of the below links to jump to specific sections.
How to see your recent and saved searches
Once you have logged into your WebCargo account, expand the side menu and click on the “+” icon, then on New eBooking. If you’ve not made an eBooking or have not made a search using the dynamic quoting feature before, read this article to find out how.
Click on the Origin Airport field. You will be shown the list of origin airports to the left and, to the right, you will see three sections: Recent searches, Saved searches and Choose a Saved Search in the search manager. If you have made previous searches, these will be visible here. If not, you will see the message No results found.
If available, within the Recent searches menu you’ll see a maximum of 3 previous searches in the dropdown.
Tip: A maximum of 30 recent searches are stored within the search manager. Recent searches are visible for a maximum of one month from the search date.
For Saved searches, you’ll see your three preferred saved searches. Discover how to set your preferred search by clicking here.
Finally, you can select an option from your saved searches with the Search manager. Find out below how to add saved searches so they are selectable within this list.
How to add a Saved Search
There are a number of ways you can add Saved Searches to use when searching for dynamic rates. The first is through the New eBooking page. Enter your shipment details and before clicking on Search flights and rates click on the Add to your saved searches button located at the top right-hand side of the page.
Important: In order for this button to become available you will need to enter your origin and destination, and select the Commodity from the drop-down menu. If you do not do this, the button will appear greyed out. It is not compulsory to enter any more details other than the three mentioned above in order to create a saved search.
A pop-up will appear after clicking on Add to your Saved Searches.
You’ll then have two options. With the first, you can choose to save this as a new search. Choose a name for this search to help you remember what it’s used for. This could be for a client or a route for example.
Once the name is entered click Add to list. This saved search will now be available to use when making a search.
The second option you’ll see is to Replace an existing one. If you have not saved a search before this part will appear greyed out. If you have previously saved a search and want to overwrite it, select it from the drop-down then click Add to list. This will overwrite the previous search.
Saving a search on the eBooking results page
The second place to save a search is after you make a dynamic rate search on the New eBooking page. Make a search as normal and then click on Search flights and rates.
Once your results have loaded, you’ll have the option to add this particular search to your Saved searches. Click on the Save search button.
To save this particular search, follow the same steps shown above. Once Add to list has been clicked, this will now be available to use when making a search for dynamic rates.
Tip: there is no limit to the number of saved searches you can have within your account. There is also no time limit on the searches, so, unless deleted by you, they will remain available within the search manager.
How to manage and delete your saved searches
Within the New eBooking page you’ll find the Search manager button located towards the top right-hand side of the page. Click on this to see all of your saved and recent searches.
Clicking here will trigger a pop-up that will allow you to see all of your saved searches and also your recent searches. If you have many saved searches, you can use the search bar to find a specific one.
Clicking on any of the saved searches will automatically fill in the details that you had previously saved.
Edit the name of any of your saved searches by hovering above the saved search. Three icons will appear including a pencil symbol. Click on this to edit the name of this particular search.
Click on the name to edit it. Once you’re done, click Save. The newly changed search will now appear on your list.
Delete your saved searches by clicking on the bin symbol. Once clicked, you will receive another pop-up asking if you’re sure you want to delete the search. Click Yes if you are. The search will subsequently be removed from your saved searches list.
Finally, you can click on the star symbol which will add this particular search to your Preferred searches.
Once clicked it will become a preferred option when making a new search and will appear within the dropdown. Bear in mind that you can have as many preferred searches as you want, but when making a search and clicking on the Origin Airport field, you will only see the first three based on alphabetical order.
How to manage and delete your recent searches
Your recent searches will also appear in the Search manager. You have the option to either save this recent search or remove it from the recent search results. You also have a timestamp to show you when this search was made.
In order to save this recent search, click on the plus icon you’ll find to its right. You’ll be shown the same options as shown above to save this search by choosing a new name, or by overwriting an existing search.
How to delete your recent searches
You can also choose to delete any recent searches by clicking on the rubbish can symbol. Furthermore, you will be shown another popup asking if you’re sure you want to remove this. Click Yes, and it’ll be removed from the list.
