Customising the Pipeline

This article explains how to configure your pipeline

Updated over 2 years ago

If you have a suitable Access level you can configure the Pipeline levels on Opportunities to meet your requirements.

Click here to see: Pipeline considerations

To configure the Pipeline, click on the Gear icon Utilities → Pipeline.

You are presented with a list of all the Pipeline levels and the current settings arranged into a table. You can edit any Pipeline level by clicking on the Pencil icon.

Amending Pipeline levels with existing Opportunities

NOTE: if you wish to amend your Pipeline levels and you have already got Opportunities stored in your system, proceed with caution.

webCRM stores the current level of any Opportunity by the numeric reference. The text is drawn from this configuration. If you change the wording on a Pipeline level this will be updated on any Opportunity currently set to that Pipeline level.

We recommend that if you need to amend current Pipeline levels and have existing Data, you should run a Report including the Opportunity Number and Pipeline Level fields, and export to Excel. Then you can update the Opportunities to reflect the desired changes to the levels. Update the Pipeline configuration, then use Data Import to pull the amended Pipeline levels back into the Opportunities.
