Why is a Portion of my Assets Unavailable/Unable to be Withdrawn?

Why part of your balance is unavailable to withdraw on Webot. Covers fiat deposit holding periods by method, where to check the Withdrawable Time, and the separate temporary hold that follows a security change.

Webot offers users convenience by pre-crediting their account on our platform when they make an ACH or Debit card deposit.

Holding periods are temporary restrictions placed on funds to manage risk and ensure settlement, allowing users to trade with deposited funds while awaiting withdrawal eligibility.

This allows you to use your funds more quickly without waiting the full amount of time for your funds to be settled. We will then charge the connected payment method within 0-10 days from the original date of the transaction.

Please note: While you can use your funds on the platform, you can't withdraw the USD equivalent of this deposit (including the equivalent sum in crypto) for 0-5 days from the "Payment Received Time" for the ACH Bank Account deposit. The withdrawal time limit for the Debit Card is 0-2 days. The withdrawal time limit for Wire Deposits is 24 hours.

The length of the holding period varies by deposit method: ACH deposits typically have a longer holding period, while wire transfers usually have the shortest holding period, often around one day.

To find out when your funds will become available for withdrawal, you can check the "Withdrawable Time" in your account's deposit history section:

  • On the Web: Navigate to your deposit history and locate the "Withdrawable Time" column for each transaction.

  • On the App: Go to the deposit history section and review the "Withdrawable Time" for your deposits. Once this period has passed, you can freely withdraw your funds (or crypto equivalent).

What is the reason for this situation?

Although it may not appear evident, traditional fiat payment systems such as debit cards or ACH (bank accounts) require time to process and achieve final settlement. For instance, when you use your debit card at a store, it may seem as though the transaction has been completed; however, on the backend, it typically takes several days for the funds to reach their final destination. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

For quicker access to funds, wire transfers are recommended due to their shorter holding periods. ACH deposits may be suitable for regular deposits where immediate withdrawal is not a priority.

Withdrawals blocked after a security change

A deposit holding period is not the only reason a withdrawal can be blocked. If you recently changed a security setting on your account, a separate temporary hold applies.

Q: I see "Operation is not allowed after high risk behavior" when I try to withdraw. What does this mean?

A: This message means a temporary withdrawal hold is still active on your account. A recent security change — such as resetting Google Authenticator, unbinding your email or phone number, or resetting your password — starts this hold automatically. It is not related to your deposit holding period, and it does not mean anything is wrong with your account.

The hold lifts on its own:

  • 24 hours if you made the change yourself in your account security settings.

  • 72 hours if we processed the change for you, through the self-service reset page or a request form.

No action is needed — please try your withdrawal again once the time has passed. For more detail, see Google Authenticator is working correctly; how to reset it? or Steps to Manually Reset Google Authenticator.
