How to access your Welmi account

Understanding Welmi accounts

Welmi does not use a traditional email and password login. Your account is tied to your Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android). The app automatically recognizes your subscription through the app store account you used to purchase it.

Note: Email and password login exists only for purchases made through the Welmi website. If you subscribed through the app, you do not have a password — and you do not need one.

How to restore your subscription — iPhone

  1. Open the Welmi app.

  2. Do NOT tap "Log in with email and password" — this is only for website purchases.

  3. Go through the onboarding screens.

  4. On the pricing screen, scroll down and tap Restore.

  5. Your subscription will be restored via your Apple ID.

You must be signed in with the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.

How to restore your subscription — Android

  1. Open the Welmi app.

  2. Do NOT tap "Log in with email and password" — this is only for website purchases.

  3. Go through the onboarding screens.

  4. On the pricing screen, scroll down and tap Restore.

  5. Your subscription will be restored via your Google account.

You must be signed in with the same Google account that was used for the original purchase. You can verify your active subscriptions at Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

How to check your subscription status

iPhone: 1. Open Settings on your device. 2. Tap your name (Apple ID) at the top. 3. Tap Subscriptions. 4. Look for Welmi in the list.

Android: 1. Open Google Play. 2. Tap your Profile icon. 3. Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. 4. Look for Welmi in the list.

Transferring to a new device (same platform)

If you are moving to a new iPhone or a new Android device:

  1. Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account on the new device.

  2. Download Welmi from the App Store or Google Play.

  3. Open the app and go through onboarding.

  4. Tap Restore on the pricing screen.

Your subscription and access will be restored automatically.

Your subscription is usually picked up automatically — but you still need to go through onboarding. After you reinstall Welmi while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account, the app recognizes your subscription on its own. You still have to complete the onboarding survey, and you should not enter an email and password: if you installed Welmi from the App Store or Google Play and did not pay for access before installing, you have no login to enter. Just finish onboarding and tap Restore, and your access will be restored.

Cross-platform transfer (iPhone ↔ Android) is not possible. Subscriptions purchased through Apple cannot be used on Android, and vice versa. See Transfer your account for details and available options.

Frequently asked questions

"How do I log in to Welmi?" Welmi does not use a login/password system. To access the app, open it, go through the onboarding screens, and tap Restore at the bottom of the pricing screen. The app automatically recognises your subscription through your Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android) — no email or password required.

"I have a new phone. How do I get my subscription back?" On your new phone, sign in with the same Apple ID (iPhone) or same Google account (Android) you originally used. Then download Welmi, go through onboarding, and tap Restore on the pricing screen. Your subscription will be restored automatically. If you forgot your Apple ID, recover it at iforgot.apple.com; for Google account recovery, visit accounts.google.com/signin/recovery.

"The app is asking for a password I never created." You do not have a Welmi password — your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account. Do not tap "Log in with email and password" (that option is only for website purchases). Instead, complete the onboarding flow and tap Restore on the pricing screen.

"I cannot sign in — where do I enter my email?" You do not need to enter an email. Welmi does not have a traditional sign-in flow for app subscribers. Just go through onboarding and tap Restore on the pricing screen — your subscription will be linked automatically through your store account.

"How can I tell if my subscription is active?" In most cases, no action is needed — your subscription is recognised automatically once you complete onboarding. The simplest way to confirm it is active is to try scanning food more than once on the same day. The free version allows only one scan per day, so if a second scan goes through without hitting a paywall, your Pro subscription is working. You can also verify in your store settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iPhone) or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (Android).

"How can I confirm my subscription is active on my new device?" The simplest way to confirm your subscription is active on a new device is to try logging two meals in one day. If you can do that, your subscription is already active on the new device.

"I forgot my password." If you subscribed through the app, you do not have a password. There is nothing to reset. Simply open the app, go through onboarding, and tap Restore on the pricing screen.

"I deleted the app — is my subscription lost?" No. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Reinstall the app and tap Restore to regain access.

"Can I use one account on both iPhone and Android?" No. Apple and Google subscriptions are separate systems. A subscription purchased on one platform cannot be used on the other.

"Can I share my subscription with family?" No. Welmi uses a 1:1 model — each subscription is tied to a single Apple ID or Google account and cannot be shared.
