How to give manager ratings for team members
Managers can share their ratings for employees on the Ratings page which can be found in the Reviews drop down in the main menu, or completed within 1:1s (see section below). Watch the walk through above or follow the steps below:
On the Ratings page, you can click Complete against an employee to open up a modal and give the manager ratings, plus add comments.
A pop up will appear and the manager can complete their assessment in the second column labelled Manager Ratings. Once saved, if the employee has also shared their feedback, this will then become visible to the manager. The employee's ratings are hidden before to prevent bias.
Hover over the 'i' icons against each item to view further information.
Add comments underneath each item within the assessment.
When giving ratings, if the manager's response to a particular item is hidden from the employee's view, a note will appear underneath the comment box as shown below.
Once completed, scroll the to bottom of the pop to Save manager ratings. They cannot be edited once saved.
Once saved, next time you open the pop up, the employee ratings will be displayed against the manager ratings, and the agreed ratings can be completed.
Coming to an agreed set of ratings
Once both the employee and manager have shared their ratings, both will become available to the other user (manager ratings can be hidden from employees if preferred - steps to do this here).
The employee and manager can then use these ratings as a basis for a 1:1 discussion, and come to an agreed set of ratings.
These can be filled out by the manager and filed in the system alongside the employee/manager versions of the ratings.
The agreed ratings can be filled out on the Ratings page (see demo here), or within the 1:1 meeting agenda (see demo linked below).
Complete ratings within 1:1 meeting agendas
As well as being able to complete ratings on the "Ratings" page as shown above, they can also be added to 1:1 meeting agendas and completed within the 1:1.
First, you will need to set up a 1:1 (steps here). Then, the ratings can be added to the agenda and completed. Follow the steps int he click-through demo below.
