Schedule an onboarding/offboarding survey

Gather feedback from new colleagues, or those leaving the organisation shortly

WeThrive have produced a recommended question set for both an onboarding survey and offboarding survey. For more info on both of these surveys and the results available, click here. As part of the survey you can customise your email templates - preview the WeThrive templates here.

In this article we explain how to schedule an onboarding and/or offboarding survey. Below is a short preview of the set up process, plus step by step instructions.

  1. Click Surveys in the main menu.

  2. Click New Survey.

  3. From the list of survey types, choose either Onboarding or Offboarding.

  4. Click the blue Next (Custom questions) button. You'll be taken to a page which shows WeThrive's recommended question set in the box on the right. Edit this as you see fit:

    1. Edit the wording of existing questions by clicking 'Edit' next to each one.

    2. Remove questions you don't need using the '-' sign,.

    3. Add your own questions from the box on the left, or using the Add new question button.

    4. Re-order the questions using the two arrows next to each question.

  5. Add a Title and Description into the boxes at the top of the page.

  6. Click the orange Preview question set to preview your survey.

  7. Once happy, click Next (select people) and select the individuals you want to send the survey to.

  8. Click Review Survey Settings to get to the final page of the set up. On this page:

    1. Review the details of your survey including the start date/time and end date.

    2. Go back to edit your question set using the link under Custom Questions.

    3. Choose your email settings. If you plan to leave this survey open for a long period to gradually add people to it, you may only need to include the Survey Email, and potentially the Thank You Email. Click the blue Customise link next to each email type to edit the wording. When finished, click Update > Done to return to the Survey Settings.

  9. When ready to schedule, click Schedule survey at the top of the page. Your survey will sit in 'Waiting to Start' mode until your chose launch date/time.
