What is covered in this article?

Compare your own scores to your organisation, and benchmark against other organisations also using WeThrive.

Who is this article for?

Employees

If you have taken part in Engagement, Mental Health, or DEEI surveys (diversity, equality, equity & inclusion), you can benchmark these results against others.

This will help you understand:

  • What a typical set of scores looks like.

  • Which of the 16 areas measured tend to score higher or lower.

  • Where you sit in comparison to others in the organisation.

  • Where you sit in comparison to others in the same industry/organisation size.

Internal benchmarking - compare your scores to your organisation

Compare your own results to the organisation's average set of scores. Follow the video below, or the steps outlined underneath.

1. Hover over Surveys in the main menu > click Custom Reports in the drop down menu.

2. Click the + sign under Build a report.

3. Four report types will appear - click Select under the Internal benchmark title.

4. Using the pop up box, choose which survey to benchmark using the Add surveys box. Switch between the Survey type tabs to find and benchmark your Mental Health and DEEI surveys (if you have taken part in these).

5. Once selected, click Create chart. Your heatmap will be displayed showing your own scores against the organisation's average set of scores from that particular survey. Update the 'Name' of your report by typing in the text box as shown below.

External benchmarking - compare yourself to other organisations

Compare your own results to the WeThrive customer average, other organisations in the same industry, of a similar size, or to those in the same industry AND size. Follow the video below, or the steps outlined underneath.

Note: The external benchmarks available are dependent on whether enough organisations with the same industry & size benchmark have completed surveys over the last year.

1. Hover over Surveys in the main menu > click Custom Reports in the drop down menu.

2. Click the + sign under Build a report.

3. Four report types will appear - click Select under the External benchmark title.

4. Using the pop up box, choose which survey to benchmark using the Add surveys box. Switch between the Survey type tabs to find and benchmark your Mental Health and DEEI surveys (if you have taken part in these).

5. Choose the benchmark you'd like to compare against by ticking the relevant box.

6. Once selected, click Create chart. Your heatmap will be displayed showing your own scores from your chosen survey against the benchmark(s) you have selected.

Note: The Variance column will only appear if you have selected one benchmark to compare against.

7. Update the 'Name' of your report by typing in the text box as shown below.

Publish your reports to your homepage

Follow the steps above to create your benchmark report. Once created, click Publish underneath the report to publish it to the 'Trend analysis' section at the bottom of your homepage - see below.

From your homepage, you'll then be able to View the report with just one click.
