Understand when name change documents are required and how to submit them securely for KYC verification.

What Is Proof of Name Change?

If the name on your identification or Proof of Address does not match the name registered on your account, you may be asked to submit official documentation that confirms your legal name change.

This step helps meet KYC (Know Your Customer) obligations and ensures the account remains secure and fully verified.

Accepted Proof of Name Change Documents

To verify a legal name change, the following official documents are accepted:

  • Marriage Certificate

  • Divorce Decree/Certificate

  • Government-Issued Name Change Document

  • Other official legal documentation (as per your country’s regulations)

All documents must be:

  • Clearly legible (scanned or photographed in full)

  • Issued by an official authority

  • Show both your previous and current legal names

When Is It Required?

You may be asked to upload a name change document in the following cases:

  • The name on your ID or address proof doesn’t match your account profile

  • There’s a discrepancy in your verification documents

  • Your account was registered under a previous name, and current documents show a new one
