Keyword Automations Overview
Keyword Automations allow you to trigger specific actions when certain words or phrases are detected in any message.
1. Create a Keyword Automation
2. Enter Keywords
Type the keywords you want to use to trigger the automation.
You can add multiple keywords—each will appear in its grey box.
There are two types of keywords you can define:
➤ Keywords
These are the specific words or phrases that initiate the automation.
Example: If you set the keyword to "refill", any message that includes "refill" will trigger the automation.
➤ Negate Keywords
These prevent the automation from triggering, even if a trigger keyword is present.
Example: If "refill" is the keyword and "no" is a negate keyword, the message "no refill this month, thanks" will not trigger the automation.
3. Keyword Matching Options
Choose how the system should match the keywords in messages:
➤ Message Contains Keyword
Triggers if the keyword appears anywhere in the message.
Example: The message "Yes, I confirm the refill. Thanks." will match the keyword "refill".
➤ Message Exactly Matches Keyword
Triggers only if the message exactly matches the keyword—no additional text or characters.
Example: If the keyword is "refill", the message "Yes, I confirm the refill. Thanks." will not match.
4. Choose the Action Type
Select the action that should happen when the automation is triggered.
Example: Send MessageWrite the response message you want to send automatically.
Note: There can be more than one action triggered on the same automation.
Also, from the Automations page, you can edit, delete, enable, or disable any keyword automation at any time.
