Why it matters

The Activity tab and notification settings help you stay informed about conversations, calls, campaigns, and system events. Configuring these correctly ensures you see important updates without being overwhelmed by unnecessary alerts.

Key Concepts

Activity: A feed of events and updates related to your Whippy account.

Archived activity: Activity items that have been archived to reduce clutter.

Notification type: A specific event that can trigger notifications.

Delivery channel: The method used to send a notification, such as push, SMS, email, or in-app.

Push notifications: Mobile alerts sent directly to your device by the Whippy app.

Step-by-Step: Use the Activity Tab

Open the Activity tab

  1. Open the Whippy mobile app.

  2. Tap Activity in the bottom navigation bar.

View activity entries

  1. Review activity entries related to your account in a list view.

  2. Switch between:

    • All activity

    • Archived activity

Manage individual activity items

  1. Tap an activity entry to view details, if available.

  2. Tap the More options menu (three dots) on an activity item to:

    • Mark as read

    • Archive the activity

View archived activity

  1. Switch to the Archived view to review archived activity items.

  2. Use archived activity to keep a record without cluttering the main activity feed.

Step-by-Step: Manage Notification Settings

Open notification settings

  1. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner, or go to More β†’ Settings.

  2. Tap Notifications.

Review notification types

  1. View the list of available notification types, including:

    • New inbound lead

    • Conversation assignment updates

    • New messages (assigned, unassigned, or any user)

    • Response time alerts (30 minutes, 24 hours)

    • Campaign, import, and keyword events

    • Billing usage alerts

    • Link click activity

    • Mentions

    • Call start, end, and missed call events

    • Form submissions

  2. Tap a notification type to open its detail page.

Configure delivery methods

  1. Enable or disable notification delivery channels for each notification type:

    • Push

    • In-app

    • Email

    • SMS

  2. Save your changes automatically as you update toggles.

Push notifications (app-level)

  1. In Settings, open Push notifications.

  2. Enable push notifications for the Whippy mobile app.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use the Activity tab to quickly review recent actions without opening multiple sections.

  • Archive activity items that are no longer relevant to keep the list manageable.

  • Enable push notifications for time-sensitive events like conversation assignments and inbound calls.

  • Disable less critical notification types to reduce noise.

  • Review notification settings periodically as your role or workload changes.
