Updated over 3 months ago

Adding public toilets to the map is crucial for enhancing the convenience and accessibility of our app for all users. Accurate, up-to-date details help others quickly find essential facilities in shopping centers, train stations, parks, and other public spaces. This is particularly valuable for people with specific needs or those seeking clean and accessible toilets.

How to Add a Toilet to the Map

Adding toilets to the map is a straightforward process that requires attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and usefulness of the information for all users. Follow these steps:

  1. Tap the "+" button on the map.
Before adding a new toilet, make sure it hasn’t already been added by another user.

  2. Select "Public toilet".

  3. Select the type of toilet:

    • Outdoor facility — toilets located in separate places like parks or portable toilets.

    • Inside a building— toilets located inside buildings like restaurants, cafes, office buildings, stores, etc.

  4. Specify the toilet location:

    • For Outdoor facility, place the pin in the exact location of the toilet on the map.

    • For Inside a building, select the place where the toilet is located from the list.

  5. Fill in the name of the place if known, and adjust the address or location if necessary.

  6. Indicate the amenities of this toilet.
Be sure to mark all the amenities this toilet offers, as these details can be very important for other users when deciding which place to choose.

Here’s what each option means so you can choose the correct features:

    • Paid access — indicates whether the toilet requires payment for use.

    • Wheelchair accessible — this means the toilet is designed for people with disabilities, featuring grab bars (handrails), ramps, or space for a wheelchair.

    • Separate gender facilities — indicates whether there are separate toilets for men and women.

    • Suitable for men/women — specifies if the toilet is suitable for men or women.

    • Baby changing station — this is a dedicated space where parents can change their baby's diaper.

    • Open 24/7 — indicates whether the toilet is open all day, every day.

    • Customers only — indicates if the toilet is only available to customers of the establishment.

    • Shower available — indicates if there is a shower available for use.

    • Key or code required — if the toilet requires a key or code for access, specify it here.

  7. Rate the place and leave a review.
Provide a rating for the toilet based on its condition, cleanliness, convenience, and accessibility. In the comment section, provide details on how to find the place, describe the entrance, and share any helpful insights.

  8. Add relevant photos.
Photos are essential in helping others recognize and locate the place. Make sure to include the following types of photos to provide comprehensive visual information:

    • How to find the place — photos that show the surrounding area or any notable landmarks that make it easier to locate the place.

    • What the toilet entrance looks like — a clear image of the entrance, especially if it is indoors or not visible from a main street.

    • Inside the place (if applicable) — photos of the interior to give users an idea of what to expect.

⚠️ Ensure all images are real, related to the place, and free of people. The overall quality of the photos is assessed collectively, so all types of photos are important. Adding fake or inappropriate photos can lead to a ban from the platform.

  9. Double-check all provided details. After reviewing all the details you’ve entered about the toilet, tap the "Done" button.

  10. Once your added public toilet has approved by our system, the information about this place will be visible to other users.

By accurately adding information about public toilets, you're not just helping yourself but also making a difference for countless others who rely on this essential service. Your contribution ensures that everyone, regardless of their needs, can find clean, accessible facilities when they need them most. Together, we can build a more inclusive and user-friendly map for everyone!
