Understanding Field of View
Understanding Field of View
Updated over 2 months ago

When discussing visual technology, such as your new DC-2 or MC-2 you will come across the term 60º "field of view" (FoV). A 60º field of view is a common specification and understanding what it means can help you better grasp the capabilities and limitations of the device you're using.

Field of view refers to the extent of the observable world that can be seen at any given moment through a particular device. It is usually measured in degrees and describes the angle of the visible area captured by the device. A 60º field of view is a specific measure of how much of a scene or environment a device can capture or display of a horizontal angle. It represents a narrower perspective compared to human vision. To put it simply, if you imagine a circle centered on the device's lens or screen, the 60º FoV represents a slice of that circle spanning 60 degrees.
