Create a New Ad Campaign

  1. Login to your Witly account here.

  2. Select "Ads" on the left navigation menu.

  3. Select "Create Ad".

  4. Identify + Select your Objective!



Identify Your Objective

In Witly, you will have 4 different content options to build your brand, explained below.
Please note that each of these strategies can be used in the same campaign.

  1. Testimonial

    1. Use this to provide testimonials to your consumer (buyer/seller) audience. A testimonial is a statement from a satisfied customer or client expressing their positive experiences, opinions, or recommendations regarding a business or service.

  2. Educational

    1. Use this to provide educational video content to your consumer (buyer/seller) audience. Agents use educational ads to inform and build trust, providing valuable insights into the real estate market and showcasing yourself as the market expert.

  3. Community

    1. Use this to provide community-focused video content to your consumer (buyer/seller) audience. Agents use community ads to show your audience new and exciting things in your area, provide exclusive real estate insights, and ultimately showcase yourself as the community/local expert.

  4. Agent Attraction

    1. Use this to provide videos for recruitment to your audience. These can be testimonials from other realtors, educational tips for agents, or footage from your last agent event / seminar / webinar.


Select your Content Strategy

  1. Click on the the strategy you wish to use.

  2. If you would like to ad this to an existing campaign, select yes. If you'd like to create a new campaign, select no.

    1. Confused about when to add and ad to an existing campaign? Ads within the same campaign share that campaign’s budget. This is called Campaign Budget Optimization, and it is a good way to test new ads in a campaign. Facebook will automatically distribute your budget to the ads it thinks will get the best results without spending any more money.

  3. After choosing yes or no, select "Next" to choose your audience.

*** If selecting yes, you will be prompted to choose your campaign. From there, you can proceed the section of this article titled "Create Your Ad" ***


Select your Audience / Targeting

Reach New People

  1. If you would like to reach new people based on their location, select "I want to Reach New People", then select "Next."

  2. Under, "Where do you want to run this ad?", enter the name of the location(s) you will be targeting.

    1. You can adjust the target locations radius by selecting the dropdown arrow next to "advanced Options".

  3. Select "Next"

  4. Skip to "Enter Campaign Details"!

Retarget People Who Know You

  1. If you would like to retarget people you already know (ex. database, existing leads, pixel/website traffic, custom list/CSV file), select "I want to Retarget People Who Know Me", then select "Next".

  2. Select "Next."

  3. Select from two targeting options:

    1. An Existing Custom Audience OR

    2. A New Custom Audience

  4. Select "Next"

Enter Your Campaign Details

  1. Enter your budget. We typically recommend $1 per video. For example, if you are adding 5 videos to 1 campaign, the campaign's budget would be $5 per day.

  2. (Optional) Set Your Duration

  3. Click "Next"


Create Your Ad

  1. Under "Ad Details", confirm the page being shown matches the page you would like to advertise from. If you have more than one page in Witly, you can select the dropdown menu to select which one to use.

  2. Select which tracking pixel you would like to use on your ad. If you do not have one, you will not be able to use this feature. Please contact your web developer for assistance with installation!

  3. Ad Name: Enter your ad's name! This will only be seen by you.

  4. Upload your video! Select "Browse". From here, you can either choose a file you have previously uploaded into your Witly media library, or you can choose a file from your computer!

  5. After selecting your file, click "upload" to add your file to your ad.

  6. Under destination link, paste the link that you want your audience to be routed to when they click "Learn More".

    1. Example: Your website's landing page!

  7. Scroll down and enter the text your audience to see under "Ad Copy". This should be 2-3 sentences pertaining to the subject of your video, without giving all of the video's details away!

  8. After completing the steps above, select "Next".

    1. If the "Next" button is greyed-out, make sure you selected "upload" on your video file!

  9. Click "Submit" to finalize your ad and submit it to Facebook for review!
