Access your Moodle course. From the left navigation menu, click Content bank.

Click one of your H5P activity names.

Click the Actions menu (gear icon) at the top right, and then click Download. The .h5p file will download to your computer.

NOTE: If you do not have an account for the WIU H5P WordPress site, please submit a Help Desk ticket and request one.

To learn how to create an H5P activity in WordPress, review the resource: Logging into the WIU H5P WordPress site and creating an H5P activity.

From the left menu, hover your mouse pointer over H5P Content, and then click Add New.

Click Upload, and then click Upload a file.

Click the .h5p file in your Downloads folder and click Open.

Click Use.

If desired, make any needed changes to the H5P activity including the content, theme, behavioural settings, and text overrides and translations.

Then, select your Display Options at the top right.

  1. Display toolbar below content: If unchecked, none of the display options will appear below the activity.

  2. Allow users to download the content: When checked, you will see the word Reuse below the activity, which allows you to download the .h5p file.

  3. Display Embed button: When checked, you will see the word Embed below the activity, which allows you to view and copy the activity’s embed code.

  4. Display Copyright button: When checked, you will see the words Rights of use below the activity, which displays any copyright information you included in the activity. For example, you may need to provide attribution for any images you include.

When finished with any editing, click Create at the top right.

Scroll to the bottom of your H5P activity in the WIU H5P WordPress site and click Embed.

Scroll to the top of the page and copy the entire embed code using Ctrl + C (PC) or Cmd + C (Mac).

Navigate to your Schoology course and click the chevron to the left of one of your main folders to expand the folder. Determine where you want to add a new page.

Hover your mouse pointer directly over the location where you want to add the page for the H5P activity until you see a green dashed line.

Left-click your mouse, and then click Add Page.

Page Title: Enter the name of your H5P activity in the page title field, which will be displayed inside your folder. At the end of the name, it’s very helpful to add the approximate amount of time it will take students to complete the activity along with the word Ungraded (H5P activities don’t appear in the Schoology gradebook).

In the content area, if needed, add text to introduce your H5P activity. Below your introductory text, place the cursor where you want to insert the H5P activity.

Click Insert Content (1) from the rich text editor toolbar, and then click Image/Media (2).

Click From the the web tab (1), and then click Media (2).

Paste in the H5P activity’s embed code using Ctrl + V (PC) or Cmd + V (Max) and then click Insert Media.

Once you’re done editing the page, click Save Changes. After you click Save Changes, you’ll be able to see the H5P activity. If desired, you can resize the H5P activity by editing the page, clicking the yellow rectangle, and dragging the corners in or out.

The H5P activity will now be displayed in the page. If needed, edit the page again to continue adding content or adjusting the activity size.
