Commercial Business Intelligence Overview

Introduction

Learn how to use the Commercial Business Intelligence (CBI) Overview screen to monitor key performance insights for your commercial business, including web traffic, leads, buyer engagement, call performance, and market demand trends—all in one place.

Before You Start

The CBI Overview is available only on select Work Truck Solutions and OEM program packages. Access levels may vary depending on your dealership’s plan and user role.


Step-by-Step Guide

Accessing the CBI Overview

  1. Log into the Work Truck Solutions dashboard

  2. In the navigation go to Tools > CBI

  3. menu, select Overview to view your dealership’s current performance snapshot.


Review Current Vehicle Listings OnLot

This tile shows the total number of vehicles currently live on your commercial retail site.

  • Includes all Work Truck Solutions commercial listings

  • Use this metric to track available inventory and stocking trends

Monitor Completion Rates for Inventory Quality

Two gauges show your dealership’s data completeness:

  • Work Truck & Van Photo Completion – % of vehicles with required photos

  • Invoice Completion – % of new upfit vehicles with completed invoices

💡 Higher completion rates improve buyer conversion and listing quality.


Track Call Performance (Last 30 Days)

Get insights into phone activity and lead volume through calls:

  • Total calls received

  • Breakdown of Call Leads vs general calls

View Buyer Engagement (Last 30 Days)

Understand how buyers are interacting with your site:

  • Total site visits

  • Engagement trends vs the previous 30 days

Analyze Lead Performance (Last 30 Days)

Review total leads generated and how they compare to the previous 30 days.
A companion chart displays Call Leads vs Web Leads to show lead source type.

Deep Dive into Buyer Engagements (Last Month)

Shows total monthly buyer engagements such as:

  • Clicking “I’m Interested”

  • Viewing vehicle details

  • Viewing photos

Chart: Engagements shown by Stock Number reveal which units attracted the most interest.


Benchmark Against Commercial Peers

See how your dealership compares to other commercial dealers of similar size.

  • Displays your peer group size

  • Shows how many key performance metrics you beat peers in

💡 Use this to assess where you perform strong and where improvement opportunities exist.


Identify Market Demand

Shows body types currently in demand within your metro—the top 5 most-viewed/on-lot unit types.
Use this to:

  • Adjust acquisition strategy

  • Prioritize merchandising

  • Focus sales outreach


View Reporting Timeframes

At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find the reporting windows used for the Overview metrics:

  • Current 30-day period

  • Previous 30-day period for comparison
