Prospecting from Vehicle Detail Page

Updated over a month ago

Overview

The Quick Quote tool lets you instantly send a quote to a buyer interested in a specific vehicle or stock number. It’s especially helpful when speaking with a buyer over the phone, meeting in person at the dealership, or visiting them at their business. By streamlining communication and delivering real-time information, Quick Quote helps you build stronger customer relationships that drive sales. You can include a personal message, vehicle photos, pricing details, and direct links to the Vehicle Detail Page on your Work Truck Solutions Commercial site.

Messages can be written from scratch or sent using an existing email template from your personal or shared folders. For guidance on creating and editing templates, see our articles on Creating Email Templates and Editing an Email Template.

Let’s take a closer look at all that you can do with this tool and how to use it effectively below.

How to Use the Quick Quote Tool

Step 1: Choose the Work Truck or Van to Feature

Start on your Vehicle Search Page to locate the truck or van you want to feature in the quote. You can:

  • Use the Vocational Carousel to browse vehicles by vocation or type.

  • Utilize the search & sort facets on the left side of the search panel to narrow down options based on specific criteria.

  • Enter a Stock # or VIN # directly in the search field to locate a specific vehicle.

Once you've found the desired truck or van, click the vehicle title link or See More Details to open the Vehicle Detail Page.

Step 2: Access the Quick Quote Tool

From the Vehicle Detail Page, the dealer can begin the Quick Quote process by clicking the Prospect button in one of two areas.

  • Option 1: Click the Prospect button in the upper right-hand corner of the Vehicle Detail page.

  • Option 2: Scroll to the bottom of the Vehicle Detail page and click the Prospect button.

Step 3: View the prospecting interface pop-up

Once the Prospect button is clicked, a Prospecting Interface pop-up window will appear. Here you can build and send your Quick Quote email. In this pop-up, you will see several key sections:

  • Choose Listings – shows the pre-selected vehicle(s) or allows additional vehicles to be added.

  • Choose Buyers – displays existing buyers or lets the dealer add new ones.

  • Subject and Message – where the quote email content is created or selected from a saved template.

  • Attachments and Resources – optional fields for supporting files or marketing materials.

  • Preview and Send Controls – located at the bottom of the window for final review and dispatch.

Step 4: Choose Buyers

You can select to send a message to your existing buyers or add new buyers. Each buyer will receive a separate, personalized email (up to 50 at once).

Choosing Existing Buyers

  1. Click the orange Choose Buyers button in the left upper side of the screen.

  2. This will open the Buyers pop-up window, where you can:

    1. Sort by All Tags or All Vocations.

    2. Use the Search field to find buyers faster.

    3. Exclude buyers who’ve been messaged recently by using the “Exclude buyers sent prospecting messages in the last X days” option.

  3. Once buyers are selected, they’ll be highlighted in green.

  4. Click done to go to the next step of either adding new buyers or to Choose Listings.

Adding a New Buyer

  1. Dealers can simply enter the buyers first name, last name, email, and phone number.

  2. They can click Save & Add to complete adding the new buyer to the chosen buyer list to send the prospecting message to.

Step 5: Verify the Vehicle Selection and Edit Pricing

After selecting your buyers, review the vehicle(s) included in your message to ensure accuracy along with making any pricing changes.

Confirm and Add Vehicle Listings

  • Since the Quick Quote was initiated from a specific vehicle, that vehicle will already be preselected under Choose Listings.

  • If you’d like to include additional vehicles, click the Choose Listings button to add more.

Pricing Changes

You may also want to adjust the price for the selected vehicle(s) if needed. You have the ability to:

  • Use current pricing.

  • Enter a special price.

  • Hide pricing entirely

Step 6: Create the Prospecting Message

You can choose to create your message either from scratch or using an email template.

Option 1: From Scratch

  • Enter a Subject Line and a Message in the provided fields.

Option 2: From an Email Template

  • Click the Select Template dropdown.

  • Choose from existing templates.

    • The Subject and Message fields will automatically populate, but dealers can still make edits as needed.

Step 7: (Optional) Add Attachments, Resources, or Personalized Text

If you want to enhance their message, you can use the buttons below the message field:

  • Add Attachments: Attach up to five files.
Accepted file types include: PDF, JPEG, PNG, TXT, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX.

  • Resources: Add relevant marketing or product materials.

  • Personalized Text: Insert dynamic fields like buyer name or dealership info for a more personal touch.

Step 8: Send the Quick Quote

At the bottom-right corner, you will see:

  • CC Me Box: By default, the CC Me box will be un-checked.

    • Check this to receive a copy of each prospecting email sent.

  • Preview Button: Allows you to see how the email will appear for the buyer(s) before sending.

  • Send Button: Sends the finalized Quick Quote to all selected buyer(s) along with the chosen work truck or van, your personalized message, direct links to the Vehicle Detail Pages for each selected vehicle and any attachments.

Make sure to review and preview before sending to ensure professional, accurate communication.
