Whitelisting your domain

Updated this week

Introduction

To ensure your retail site functions properly with Work Truck Solutions, you’ll need to whitelist the subdomain we provide for your dealership. This allows your site to securely communicate with our platform, display inventory, and enable integrated features without being blocked by browser security settings.

Before You Start

You’ll need access to your domain settings or support from your website administrator.

Have your Work Truck Solutions–provided subdomain ready (example: dealername.worktrucksolutions.com).

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Locate the Work Truck Solutions Subdomain for Your Dealership
You’ll receive this from your onboarding specialist or in your account setup materials.
💡 Tip: It typically follows this format:
    dealername.worktrucksolutions.com

  2. Access Your Website’s Whitelist or Allowed Domains Settings
This is usually managed by your website provider or IT team.
Common areas where this setting may exist:

    • Website hosting platform

    • CMS settings (e.g., WordPress, Dealer.com, DealerOn, Sincro, etc.)

    • Security plug-ins or firewall tools

  3. Add the Provided Subdomain to Your Allowed List
Copy and paste the exact subdomain (do not alter or shorten it).
Ensure you add the full string including the subdomain prefix.

  4. Save and Apply Changes
Publish or refresh your site to ensure the change takes effect.

  5. Verify That the Whitelisting Worked
Visit your retail site and confirm that Work Truck Solutions inventory, forms, or widgets are rendering correctly.
If you see “blocked content” warnings or missing sections, the whitelist may not have saved.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

  • I’m not sure where to add the whitelist entry.
Contact your website provider and provide them the subdomain with this instruction:
“Please whitelist this subdomain so it is allowed to load scripts and content on our retail site.”

  • Our retail site still isn’t showing Work Truck Solutions content.
Clear your browser cache and refresh the page. If the issue continues, verify that the full subdomain was added correctly—no typos or edits.

  • Can I whitelist the root domain instead of the subdomain?
No. For security reasons, your retail site must whitelist the exact subdomain provided.

  • Who can help if I need assistance?
