Enable your customers to "spec out" their cargo vans with vocational interior packages, turning a base van into a complete mobile workspace.
Why the Van Builder Drives Conversion
Most van buyers are looking for a specific interior setup—be it for HVAC, Plumbing, or Delivery. By allowing them to "build" it on your site, you move them away from price-shopping a base unit and toward a custom solution. This anchors the Commercial RO early, as you are providing the exact tool they need for their business.
How a Buyer uses the Van Builder:
Step 1: Select the Van Model
Direct the buyer to the Van Builder section of your showroom.
Select the base chassis (e.g., Transit, Savana, or ProMaster).
Step 2: Choose a Vocational Interior Package
Browse the available "Trade Packages" (e.g., Electrician, General Service).
Click Add to Build to see how shelving and partitions fit into the virtual van.
Step 3: Review the Build and Submit
The builder generates a summary of the interior upfits.
The buyer clicks Request Quote to send the configuration to your team.
Action Item: When you receive this lead, check the "Interior Specs" immediately so you can quote the total work-ready price.
How you can enable Van Builder on your Work Truck Solutions' site:
Phase 1: Initial Setup
Log in to the dealership’s Work Truck Solutions backend using Truck Pro credentials.
Select the Tools tab from the main navigation bar and click Preferences.
Find the VanBuilder section within the preferences menu.
Toggle the status to "On" to activate the tool on the dealer’s website.
Review the vocational choices available within the tool to ensure they match the dealership’s strongest segments (e.g., HVAC, Delivery, or Electrician).
How to Use the Chassis Builder Tool
Allow buyers to pair your on-lot or in-transit chassis with the specific body type their vocation requires.
Why the Chassis Builder Protects Your Margins
A bare chassis is a "half-finished" product. The Chassis Builder allows a buyer to see the full potential of that unit, whether as a Landscape Dump or a Service Body. This tool is essential for moving "In-Transit" chassis before they even hit your lot, drastically reducing your flooring costs.
This tool will allow buyers to send in additional specs needed on your listed bare chassis VDP, allowing you to have more qualified leads, and a better buyer experience.
NOTE: This feature is turned on by your Customer Success Manager-- please see them for assistance in getting this turned on.
