At WorkBright, we try to make things as easy as possible for you and your staff, but sometimes mistakes happen. That is where we come in. Here are some common mistakes along with suggestions on how to resolve them.
General
Staff are not creating an account when they get the welcome email.
Oftentimes, staff will get the welcome email and think that all they will need to do is set up their email (and MFA if applicable) and close their window, not filling in any of the information requested of them. We advise you to help your staff know in advance what to expect and what they will be asked to do when they get their welcome email, to ensure nothing is missed.
Not having a POV of your staff's experience.
To better understand the process your staff goes through, we suggest trying things out from their POV. This article goes over how you can set that up.
Form I-9
Stopping filling in information for the Form I-9 when waiting for Document Verification.
Even if Doc Verification is pending, your staff will still be able to fill out the rest of the Form I-9 and make corrections if needed.
Missing Employer Address is missing or not added.
Filling in your Company address in your company details will allow us to automatically populate that address where it is needed in the Form I-9. Follow this article to learn more.

E-Verify
Requesting a new Form I-9 when the previous E-Verify case is still open.
In some cases, you will need to request a new Form I-9 submission if your E-Verify case can not be closed authorized. If this is the case, it is important to remember to close the open E-Verify case before requesting a New I-9 submission to ensure that an E-Verify case will be made in association with the new submission.
Not moving to E-Verify because a receipt was submitted.
This is an easy fix; you just need to follow the steps in this article.
Forms and Fields
Deleting and not archiving.
You can always reach out to our team to request a form to be deleted, but we typically advise that you archive a form instead to keep the form results for your records and potentially compliance reasons should you need it. Learn more about it here.
Issuing forms with our preview.
Our forms are designed to fill a variety of use cases and can reflect in different ways depending on the Body Type or the Submission Type. No matter the type of form, it is always important to preview the form. By previewing it first, to ensure you are getting the right information out to your team.
