Setting a Form to “Auto-Accept” So That Submissions Skip the Review Inbox

If I don’t want to have to review every single submission of a particular form in the Review Inbox, can I set the form to accept automatically?

Yes! To set a form to “Auto-Accept,” you’ll need to go to that form’s “Edit Form” page. Go to the “Onboarding” tab at the top of your screen, then click “Forms” on the left, and then choose the form you’d like to set to auto-accept, and click Edit Form:

On the Edit Form page, you’ll see a checkbox that indicates that all submissions of this form go to the Review Inbox. To set this form to auto-accept, just uncheck this box and click save at the bottom.

Note:

  • Unchecking this box will NOT affect submissions currently sitting in the Review Inbox, only submissions going forward. This is not a bulk action to clear multiple submissions that are already Pending Review.

The best forms to set to auto-accept are forms that the staff member cannot make any mistakes. This includes:

  • Read-only forms

  • Forms that only ask for name, date, and/or signature

  • Forms where every data field is a) required, and b) a dropdown or radio button, and c) has no incorrect choice. This ensures that they cannot miss a question and cannot provide an errored response.

Forms to consider requiring review before accepting:

  • Image uploads, such as licenses or certifications; you may wish to review submissions of these types of images to ensure they are not expired, blurry, and that the correct document was provided

  • Complex forms with variable responses from the staff
