Publishing News

The News section lets you publish regional updates directly to your Jobs Hub page and, if selected, to your linked Workin<location> site.

Use news posts to share workforce updates, Local Jobs Plan activities, skills and training announcements, or anything relevant to your regional community.

Creating a News Post

  1. Log in to your console at partner.jobshub.com.au

  2. Select News from the left-hand menu

  3. Select Add News

Complete the post details:

  • Title — clear and specific

  • Description — a brief summary

  • Image — required for engagement, less than 5MB

  • Other Platforms — Select to share this post to your linked Workin<location> site

  • Body — your news content

    News Settings

  • Featured Article — make this the featured article before all other articles

  • Category — what topic is this news related to

  • Mins Read — How long would it take a user to read this information

    SEO Configuration (Optional)

  • Meta Title — the title that appears in Google search results. It can match your post title or be a slightly adjusted version. Keep it under 60 characters and include your region name

  • Meta Description — a short summary that appears under your title in search results. Write 1–2 sentences describing what the post is about and who it's for. Keep it under 155 characters

  • Keywords — words or phrases someone might type into Google to find this content. Type each one and press Enter to add it. Think about what your audience would search for.

Select Save Details and your News will be LIVE.

Your post will appear on your Jobs Hub page immediately. If you included the Workin<location> site, it will also appear on your regional Workin<location> site.

Editing, Unpublishing or Restoring a News post

To edit a post:

  1. Go to News

  2. Select the post you want to update and Edit

  3. Make your changes and select Save

To unpublish a post:

  1. Go to News

  2. Select the post

  3. Select Unpublish

Unpublishing removes the post from your Jobs Hub page and your Workin<location> site if it was pushed there. It will sit in an Unpublished state on your full News list.

Restoring a News post:

You will find any deleted items in Trashed, if you have Permanently Deleted, they will not show here and are not recoverable. If you want to restore a News item for any reason, you select Restore from the ellipsis and this will move the item back to your full list in an unpublished state. You can make any amendments and publish again from this page.

Tips for Better News Posts

  • Be specific. "New apprenticeship program open for <location> residents" outperforms "Exciting news."

  • Keep it regional. Content that speaks directly to your community gets more engagement than generic updates.

  • Include a next step. Tell your reader what to do, register, contact someone, or visit a link.

  • Post regularly. A Jobs Hub that updates frequently builds trust and return visits.
