What is a video job board?

An enterprise job board (video job board) allows the employer to showcase their business in video format rather than plain text. The employer can interview key staff in the business, and show off its location and premises in a way that will engage and attract a better candidate for the positions offered. If you are interested in further information, see this article here.

What integrations can I use with Workiniatives?

Workinitiatives integrates with Jobadder, Idibu, and Broadbean to name a few, however, it is important to note you must discuss with your ATS (applicant tracking system) provider to allow their platforms access to Workinitiatives .

Visit our Integration Centre for instructions on connecting to your Workiniatives account.

Jobs

What is the difference between ‘job ads’ and ‘featured job ads’?

Job ads are standard 30 day ads that are shown on the Workiniatitives job page in the order that they are published. You have the option to enhance it to a featured job ad that will stay fixed at the top of the jobs board for 7 days and use 1 Featured Ad credit.

How to Post a Job Ad?

Follow this article for necessary steps on How to Post a job ad.

How do I satisfy labour market testing requirements?

To satisfy the labour market testing requirements you must post to two (2) national job boards.

Why can I select only one location for my job ad?

If the job you have posted is available in multiple locations, you will need to post that job individually with each separate location or alternatively post the job in a central location and advise your potential candidates in your ad that the job is available in multiple locations.

Copy and paste onto Workiniatives to create a job ad?

Certain fonts, formats and texts won’t copy across to the Workinitiatives platform, rather plain text must be used. Once in certain fields or boxes the user can use a variety of fonts and text types. Copy your information then right click and paste as plain text into the field.

How to edit an active job ad?

You can edit or update your ads at any time. Once you have logged in, you will see the ads you have published on your dashboard, click on the ad you would like to edit or update and click the edit button and you can then make the changes you would like, click save and your updated ad will appear on Workinitiatives.

NOTE: if you have ticked the box for LMT compliance, you are not able to edit this ad after publishing it, if you have made an error, you will need to unpublish your ad and post an new ad.

Why is my job ad response lower than usual?

There may be a number of reasons for this, including the historically low employment rate, competition for job vacancies, and it appears that candidates are in a position to pick and choose. We encourage you to freshen up your job ads, include videos where possible, be concise with your ad, and include salary expectations and location.

Can I share my ads on social media platforms?

Yes, of course. Once your ad is complete you will be able to see it on your dashboard, simply click on the ad you would like to share and the social media options will pop up. From there, follow the prompts.
