The Events section lets you create and publish local workforce events directly from your Jobs Hub console. Events are automatically published to your Jobs Hub page and your linked Workin<location> site (if included).
Registrations, ticketing and payments are handled through Eventbrite, which is configured for you.
Before You Start
Your Eventbrite configuration is set up as part of your Jobs Hub creation. To confirm your configuration is active, select Configuration from the left-hand menu and check your Eventbrite connection status.
If your Eventbrite configuration is not connected, contact partnerships@workinitiatives.com.au before creating events.
Free vs Paid Events
Free events require no payment setup. Attendees register via Eventbrite at no cost.
Paid events require a price per ticket. Eventbrite processes payments directly.
When you sell tickets, add-ons, or accept donations, your attendees pay Eventbrite’s Ticketing Fees at checkout. If you want to change who pays the fees, you can do so directly in the Eventbrite account.

Managing Registrations
Registrations are automatically pulled into your console. You do not need to log into Eventbrite to view them.
To view registrations:
Go to Events
Select the event
Select the number of Registrations
From here you can view attendee names, contact details and registration status. You can export this list if needed.
Editing, Cancelling, Restoring an Event
To edit an event:
Go to Events
Select the event
Select Edit, make your changes and select Save
Changes update on your Jobs Hub page and Workin<location> site automatically. If the date, time or location has changed, notify registrants directly using the contact details in your Registrations tab.
To cancel an event:
Go to Events
Select the three dots
Select Cancel
Cancelling events will move this event from your console to Trashed. This also removes the event from your Jobs Hub page and Workin<location> site. If the event was paid, refunds are handled through Eventbrite's standard process. Notify registrants directly before cancelling.
Restoring an event:
You will find any cancelled events in Trashed, if you want to reinstate the event for any reason, you can restore this from the ellipsis. This will move your event from Trashed back to the events page in a draft state. You can make any amendments and publish again from this page.
Tips for Better Event Listings
Be specific with your title.
Write for your audience. Be clear about who the event is for: job seekers, employers, training providers, or all three.
Set a capacity. Even if your venue is large, a visible capacity creates urgency and improves registration quality.
Publish early. Events published at least two weeks out consistently attract more registrations than last-minute listings.
Post regularly. A consistent event calendar builds community trust and return visits.
