Our job recommendation feature helps you discover relevant opportunities based on your profile, preferences, and career goals, so you can spend less time searching and more time applying.
How do recommendations work?
Workinitiatives uses the information in your profile to match you with suitable job opportunities. Your recommendations may be based on details such as:
Your current occupation or job title
Your preferred job location
Your preferred industry or job classification
Your work preferences and expectations
The information provided in your job seeker profile
When a new job matches your profile and preferences, you may be notified based on your selected job alert settings.
Where can I see recommended jobs?
You can view recommended jobs from your Workinitiatives account.
To find your recommendations:
Log in to your Workinitiatives job seeker account.
Go to Jobs from the left-hand menu.
Select Recommended Jobs.
You may also receive recommended jobs by email, depending on your job alert notification settings.
How do I manage my job alert notifications?
You can control how often you receive job recommendations.
To update your job alerts:
Log in to your WorkInitiatives account.
Navigate to Profile > Jobs > Recommendations.
Select Job Alerts.
Choose your preferred notification frequency:
Daily
Every 3 Days

Monthly
Your changes will be saved automatically.
How do I get better job recommendations?
The more complete and accurate your profile is, the better your recommendations are likely to be.
To improve your job recommendations, we recommend reviewing and updating:
Your current occupation or job title
Your preferred location
Your preferred job classification
Your work preferences and expectations
Your work experience
Your skills, licences, registrations, and qualifications
Your uploaded resume or documents
Keeping your profile up to date helps Workinitiatives recommend jobs that better match your current goals.
💡 Tip: Even small profile updates can significantly improve the quality of your job matches.
What Information Do We Collect?
Workinitiatives only collects information relevant to your career, job search, profile, and applications.
This information helps support features such as job matching, applications, saved jobs, recommended jobs, and job alerts.

Not Seeing the Right Jobs?
You may not see suitable recommendations if your profile is incomplete or if your preferences are too broad, too limited, or out of date.
For example, your recommendations may be less accurate if:
Your preferred location is missing
Your job classification has not been selected
Your current occupation is outdated
Your profile does not include enough work experience or skills
There are currently limited jobs matching your preferences
If this happens, update your profile and check your recommendations again.
