Connecting Broadbean to Workinitiatives

Updated this week

Broadbean is a multi-poster that helps you:

  • Post an ad from Broadbean or your applicant tracking system (ATS) directly to Workinitiatives

  • Receive Workinitiatives applications into your Broadbean account or directly into your applicant tracking system

How to connect my Workinitiatives account to Broadbean?

  • Firstly, you must already have a Broadbean account for Workinitiatives to be visible in your applicant tracking system when you go to post a job.

  • In addition, your Broadbean account, once set, must be connected to your applicant tracking system

  • If you don't have a Workinitiatives employer account already, you will need to register your company on Workinitiatives and choose an appropriate package, pay-as-you-go, or subscription. Otherwise, if you have an Employer account already, please login.

    • Remember if you register and select a free trial, you will only be able to post one ad through your applicant tracking system before you will need to upgrade to a paid option.

  • In your Workinitiatives account, under Settings and Third Party integrations, you will need to Generate a Key and copy the key number which you can do by clicking ‘show’ and ‘copy’

  • In your Broadbean account, go to Job Boards and find the Workinitiatives Job Board, when you are in this section, select Subscription details and here you will input the Workinitiatives account email address that you used to sign up to Workinitiatives and in the password field, you will paste the key you copied from Workinitiatives and save this information.

  • If you need to modify your Workinitiatives account such as updating details, or subscription level, you will need to do so directly in the Workinitiatives platform, not through your applicant tracking system

What if my job ad failed to post to Workinitiatives?

This can occur for a couple of reasons:

1. Your subscription or job credits may have expired or need to be top up.

When logged into Workinitiatives, check your balance of credits on the dashboard and if this is at 0, you will need to purchase further credits and then try and repost your job ad again.

2. The link between Broadbean and Workinitiatives may have disconnected.

Please go to the Menu and Settings then Third Party Integrations, find the Broadbean integration and you want to Generate a Key. You will copy your Key and you will go to your Broadbean account and Job Board, find the Workinitiatives job board and Subscription details area. In Subscription details, you will see your email address used for Workinitiatives and you must enter this key in the password field and save this information.

This will link your Workinitiatives account back to Broadbean, you can then find your pending job ad and repost this, and should be resolved.

Should you experience any further issues with your Broadbean integration, please reach out to our support team.
