Step-by-Step setup

The following is a basic step-by-step guide to launching and developing your enterprise job board, or EJB;

Once you're logged in to Workinitiatives as an Employer you will be taken to your dashboard. This screen provides you with all the information regarding your Workinitiatives account.

The Enterprise Job Board will appear in the left-hand side menu, if this was toggled on in the Company profile when you joined. If you do not see this available in the Menu, go to Manage and select Company Profile, scroll down the page to Settings Section and you will toggle on Enable for Enterprise Job Board.

Now you should see Enterprise Job Board under the Menu on the left-hand side of your page. If you expand the Enterprise Job Board tab, you will start with Visual Editor.

Visual Editor

The Visual Editor page in the Workinitiatives platform offers you the ability to customize the appearance and layout of your Enterprise Job Board (EJB).

As you make changes to the theme, banners, and sections, the Visual Editor provides a real-time visual preview of how these modifications will appear on the EJB. This live preview functionality allows you to experiment with different configurations and instantly see the results, facilitating efficient customization and design decisions.

Overall, the Visual Editor page empowers you to visually design and customize your EJB to reflect your brand identity, highlight key content, and create an engaging and appealing experience for job seekers.

At the top of the page, you will see Theme Editor, this will open to the left where you can choose your primary colour scheme, choose from selected fonts, and upload a ‘search background’ image. These can be changed or edited at any time.

Banners

Next, go to Banners and here you can upload various images and video assets that will feature at the top of your EJB.

Please note: there are specifications for images and videos that can be used. Please scroll up to "Before you start" for the information.

Banners play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and effectiveness of your Enterprise Job Board (EJB) home page. Banners are often the first visual elements that job seekers encounter when landing on your EJB home page. Eye-catching and professionally designed banners can create a positive first impression, capturing the attention of job seekers and encouraging them to explore further.

Compelling imagery or videos in banners can engage job seekers and draw them into your EJB. Whether it's showcasing your workplace culture, highlighting key job openings, or promoting company events, banners serve as powerful visual assets to convey important messages.

The ability to upload both image and video banners provides versatility in content presentation. Image banners are ideal for static visuals, while video banners add dynamic motion and interactivity, further enhancing user engagement.

You can rearrange the order of banners to prioritize specific content. Additionally, the option to set banner visibility allows you to showcase relevant content to job seekers.

The flexibility to edit or delete banners enables you to keep your EJB content fresh and up-to-date. This allows for the timely promotion of new job openings, company announcements, or seasonal campaigns.

In summary, banners serve as powerful visual assets that contribute to the overall success of your EJB by enhancing visual appeal, driving engagement, and promoting key messages effectively. Properly utilized and strategically placed banners can significantly improve the user experience and contribute to the achievement of your recruitment goals.

Sections

Next, go to Sections, and this module allows you to organise your job ads into different categories, making it easier for job seekers to navigate and find relevant opportunities. For example, for a hospitality business, the sections may be titled, kitchen, front of house, management, accounts, etc.

Alternatively, you may want to order sections by location instead. These can be described according to the business and should you find later on that roles or locations are not working as effectively it's easy to switch this up and order differently.

By effectively utilising the Sections module of the Workinitiatives platform, you can create a well-organized and visually appealing enterprise job board that enhances the recruitment experience for both employers and job seekers.

Add Section

Clicking the Add Section button, opens a popup where you can either upload the desired image or select from the gallery. To upload the image, click the "Add Media" button, it opens a designated drop zone where you have the option to upload an image by either selecting the image file from your device or simply dragging & dropping it into the specified area.

After uploading the image file, it will be displayed in the media gallery. To proceed, you can just select the uploaded image to preview it in the designated preview window. This step allows you to ensure that the media content appears as intended and meets your expectations.

Once you have finalised the default section image and are satisfied with how it looks in the preview window, you can proceed to enter the section title. This title serves as a descriptive label for the section, providing context or information about the content it represents.

Additionally, you will have the option to set the visibility of the section to be displayed on your EJB home page.

Click the Save button and the added section will then appear over the sections grid which you can rearrange as you need.

Customise your Job Ad Order and Image

You can customise your Job Ads within a section, when you assign an image to a section, it will use that image on all job ads by default. If you want to, you can select a different image per job ad and you can customise the order of the job ads appearing under the section. Follow the steps below.

Go to Enterprise Job Board and the Sections area, and click on the Section Title.

This will open a new screen with all the current and expired job ads in this section, here is where you will be able to drag and drop the ads into the order you need but also set a different image to be shown per Job Ad. Select Background to be able to select from your Media Library of images. Repeat this process for all job ads.

When you preview your Enterprise Job Board, you will see different images used for each ad.

Pages

Next, go to Pages and here you can build and customise these to your business needs, for example, you might want to include a "What we do", "Career Pathways", or a "Contact us".

These pages are optional and can only be customised as text only, with no imagery or video. Otherwise, you will have the option to set the visibility of the Page to be displayed on your EJB home page.

Adding Content to Pages

To commence, navigate to the Actions option. This can be accessed by clicking the three dots aligned with each page within the page grid. Upon selecting the Edit option, you'll seamlessly transition into the edit mode of the page.

When in edit mode, you are presented with a text editor that enables you to seamlessly add and format text according to your preferences. This intuitive editing interface empowers you to craft pages that effectively communicate your organization's message, showcase your offerings, and provide valuable insights to job seekers.

After completing the process of content creation or editing within the page, you can proceed to save your modifications by clicking on the Save button.

Final Review

Go back to the Visual Editor page on your EJB setup, and at the top of the page you will see View Page, click here and this will allow you to preview your EJB.

If you’re happy with how it looks, this will now be LIVE on your platform when job seekers preview your job ads, they will be able to click your company and be taken to your Enterprise Job Board.
