Stage 2: Expression of Interest (EOI)

Preparation matters most. Submitting the right documents upfront can speed up your approval. Here’s what you’ll need:

🧾 Required Documents:

  1. Valid Business Registration Certificate

    Must be issued by a recognized provincial or federal government agency.

    • Must clearly state your business name and number

    • Should be current and valid

  2. Proof of Business Operation

    One of the following, dated within the last 60 days:

    • Utility bill (e.g., phone, internet, electricity) with your business name and address

    • A recent purchase order, invoice, or sales receipt with your business details

    • Bank statement with business transactions

Once your profile is reviewed, you may be pre-approved for a Woveo loan.

📌 From your Woveo dashboard, you’ll now see a banner indicating your pre-approval for a small business loan.

This stage is focused on your Expression of Interest (EOI) and has three key steps. Each is essential, and we’re here to walk through them with you.

Let’s begin:

Step 1: Select Your Loan Amount & Term

  • 💵 Select the amount you’d like to borrow (up to $10,000)

  • 📆 Choose your loan term (in months) that suits your business needs

    Tip: Think about what amount truly helps your business grow without becoming a burden.

Step 2: Enter Your Business Corporate Number

This is your registered number with your provincial or federal government.

You can usually find it on your business registration certificate or incorporation documents. If you’re not sure, check the government portal where you originally registered your business.

Step 3: Upload Your Business Documents

These documents confirm that your business is active, operating, and serving the community. It’s a key part of building trust in our lending process.

Step 4: Record Your Business Video – Tell Your Story 🎥

This step is often the most personal—and the most powerful.

🎯 The Purpose: We want to hear directly from you: what you do, why you do it, and how this loan will help your business grow.

⚠️ Note: You’ll be asked to grant your device permission to access the camera and microphone. Please enable this when prompted.

🔁 If you’re not satisfied with your first recording, you can re-record before submitting.

💬 What to Say (Structure):

  1. Introduce yourself and your business - Name, business type, where are you located, what do you sell or offer?

  2. Share your journey

    • Why did you start this business? Who inspires or inspired you?

    • What challenges have you faced, especially with access to credit?

  3. Tell us how the loan will help

    • Be specific: Will it help buy equipment? Cover staffing? Improve your service?

  4. Share your vision

    • What impact will this funding have on your future and your community?

Tips to Help You Succeed:

  • ✅ Keep it natural and conversational—no need to memorize a script

  • ✅ Be honest and transparent—we’re here to support you, not judge

  • ✅ Keep it under 2 minutes

  • ✅ Find a quiet space with good lighting

  • ✅ Relax! This is your moment—and we’re excited to hear from you

Final Step: Verify Your Cash Flow

The last step is to help us confirm that your business has generated at least $3,000 per month over the last 3 months.

🏦 What to Do:

  • Securely connect your business bank account using the in-app tool

  • This connection is encrypted and protected—we never store or share your login details

  • We’ll use this to verify revenue and cash flow consistency

We want to set you up for success. This financial check ensures the loan is a sustainable step forward, not a burden.

🎉 What Happens Next?

Once these steps are completed:

  • Your application is reviewed

  • If successful, you’ll be invited to Stage 3: Final Approval & Fund Access
