At WPAI, we are committed to providing our users with the most advanced and efficient AI tools for managing their WordPress websites. As we prepare to launch AgentWP, our new AI-powered WordPress assistant, we want to share our vision for the future of our products and how they will evolve to better serve your needs.
Initially, AgentWP and CodeWP will be separate products, each focusing on different aspects of WordPress management.
CodeWP is for WordPress Creators, while AgentWP is for End Users.
CodeWP will continue to be our dedicated tool for code generation, helping users create custom code snippets and plugins tailored to their specific requirements. On the other hand, AgentWP will be designed for general website AI, assisting users with various tasks such as layout optimization, bug fixes, and design experimentation.
AgentWP will not include code generation and installation features at launch. Our priority is to refine the accuracy of the AI models and conduct thorough testing to minimize the risk of introducing errors into users' websites. This is especially important, as AgentWP will have autonomous capabilities, and target a non technical demographic, in addition to website creators.
Over the next 6-8 months, both products will be developed in parallel, and both will benefit from the AI research and development carried out by the WPAI team.
Both CodeWP and AgentWP will be developed in parallel, with each product receiving regular updates and improvements. Our feature plugin integrates CodeWP with your website is still set to launch soon. It works in conjunction with its "sites feature" to enable the generation of more accurate, site-specific code.
Following the launch of AgentWP and the implementation of its initial features, we will focus our efforts on integrating code generation capabilities into the platform. This will involve adding code and chat features to the AgentWP web app, as well as the ability to generate and install code snippets directly through AgentWP. We will create a similar but simpler interface for code and chat, incorporating the features CodeWP users love like multiple file support and preview functionality, to provide a seamless and efficient user experience.
After launching AgentWP and adding core features like education, scheduled tasks, etc, we will begin working on implementing Code Generation. This is a difficult and complex task, and we expect it to take a while before it's safe to release in AgentWP.
As AgentWP evolves and reaches feature parity with CodeWP, we will migrate all subscriptions and user accounts from CodeWP to AgentWP's equivalent plans. This will streamline our offerings and ensure that all our users have access to the full range of AI-powered tools for WordPress management under a single, unified platform.
After the migration, we expect to retire the CodeWP platform and brand.
We expect this product merge to occur on the timeline of 8-14 months from now (March, 2024)
