❗ Note: 'Google Docs' must be selected as the Submission Type in the assignment options. This feature is not recommended for students using iPads.

Students will see their Google Doc when they open the assignment.

💡 Tips!

  • Click inside the Google Doc to type. They can access the toolbar to use Google's built-in tools such as voice-to-text, word count, and more.

  • Students can use the Google Doc in fullscreen by clicking the opposing arrows as shown below.

  • To return to the assignment, they can click 'Check & Submit'.

Where can students find their GDoc in Google Drive?

Google Docs created in a Writable Assignment will be titled "Writable - ASSIGNMENT TITLE". Students can easily search by keyword "Writable" to locate the docs.

Note: Students should never delete a Google Doc created in a Writable assignment. This will cause them to lose their writing in the assignment.
