1. First, navigate to the student submissions you want to grade. (Don’t know how? Click here.)

2. Once on a student’s submission, provide feedback using the rubric on the right side. You will need to complete this part of the grading process in order to give a student's submission an official score. (Don't know how? Click here.)

3. Scroll to the bottom of the rubric and click 'Add Audio/Video feedback'.

4. Click 'Record Audio/Video' to record feedback, or 'Upload Audio/Video' to upload previously recorded feedback. At this time, the size limit for uploads is 80 MB.

Recording your feedback? You may need to give Writable permission to access your camera or microphone (or both). Then, skip to the Video or Audio section below for more information.

Video

  • Click the 'Video' option at the top of the window. Click the red record icon when you're ready to begin.

  • You can record up to 5 minutes of video. When you've finished, click 'Save Recording' and your video will appear at the bottom of the rubric for that particular student.

Audio

  • Click the "Audio" option at the top of the record modal. And click the red record icon when you're ready to begin.

  • You can record up to 5 minutes of audio. When you've finished, click 'Save Recording' and your recording will appear at the bottom of the rubric for that particular student.

5. Click X to remove the audio/video feedback or 'Submit' to send your feedback to the student.
