How do I log in to Writable from Ed?

Learn how teachers launch from Ed into Writable.

If your school or district has purchased an HMH curriculum such as Into Literature, Into Reading, or Writable on its own, you will start your experience in Ed, your friend in learning.

Important: If you plan on using Ed rosters or HMH Curriculum in Writable, students will need to log in to Writable from Ed.

You will need to set up your class for student access by selecting programs for each class on Ed. For more information, click here.

  1. Once logged in to Ed, navigate to the 'Discover' tab. Select the program and grade level from the dropdown menu to login to into Writable.

  2. Click the Program dropdown to select a program.

  3. Click the 'Connected Solutions' button on the left of the screen to see programs linked to this course. Click the Writable icon to login.

    Tip! You may see the button labeled 'Writing Task' instead of Writable if your district purchased access to the Basic version of Writable.

  4. When launching Writable for the first time, you may be prompted to connect a Google or Microsoft account. To ensure all accounts are connected, It is highly recommended that you sign in to connect your account at this time.

  5. Once you successfully launch Writable from Ed, you will see your licensed curriculum show up in 'Explore', as shown below.



    Tip! Not seeing all of your grade-level content? Make sure you've launched into Writable for each of the grades you teach.
