There may be times when an assignment created in Writable with the "Create in Canvas" option checked will not be able to establish a gradebook connection with Canvas automatically. In that case, you will see an alert similar to the following when grading student work:

To resolve this issue and establish the gradebook connection, please follow these steps.

1. Navigate in Canvas to the assignment that you created from Writable. Make sure it is the same assignment in the same Course as the one experiencing the issue.

2. Click the “Load..” button displayed in Canvas for the assignment.

3. At this point, all submitted scores will sync to your Canvas gradebook and you can continue grading the assignment normally.
