Writable's differentiated practice allows teachers to assign an assignment to an individual student, targeted at a specific skill. These assignments can be viewed and assigned while grading a writing submission.
💡Tip! Looking for targeted assignments based on proficiency for a group of students? Check out the Proficiency & Recommendation Report.
Follow these steps while grading a submission to assign differentiated practice:
1. From 'My Assignments', click on the assignment you'd like to grade.
2. Then click the class section.
3. On the Assignment Dashboard in the Students tab, click 'Ready to grade"
Or navigate to 'Guide/Grade'.
💡Tip! Want to grade an individual student? Click on the student in the list to view their writing and grade their work individually.
4. Grade the student's work as usual, rating their performance on the scale. Click "Add Comment".

7. After clicking "Assign", click to confirm the assignment.
8. The individual student will now see this practice on their Writable dashboard. You can click to “Manage” the assignment or click “Continue Working” to return to grading.
