Adding a membership type

Updated over 4 months ago

Memberships describe the level of access your members have to the services and spaces at your properties. Kube allows you to create membership types and the settings that apply to each. Membership types are used to create the member facing Membership Amenities. For more information about adding a membership amenity, see Adding a membership amenity.

This article covers adding a Membership Type.

NOTE: Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

Adding a Membership Type

  1. Select your Personal Profile in the top menu and select System Settings from the drop-down menu. The Operator Profile screen appears.

  2. Select Memberships in the side menu. The Memberships menu appears.

  3. Click Add. The New Membership Type menu appears.

  4. Complete the field in the Essentials tab. See the end of this article for a screen reference.

    1. If desired, set custom property access and hours of operation for the membership type in the Custom Access menu. For more information about using the hours of operation menu fields, see Updating property hours of operation. Additionally, see the end of this article for a screen reference.

    2. If desired, set discounts for space types in the Discount menu. See the end of this article for a screen reference.

  5. Click Save.

TIP: The next step in setting up the membership types is selecting their priority. For more information, see Setting membership type priorities.

Select properties and property lists that members assigned the membership type should have access to. Leave the Enable toggle "Off" if the membership type should have access to all properties of your organization.

Access Schedule

Leave the Property Default toggle in the "On" position if the regular hours of operation apply for the properties selected in the Property Access List field. Otherwise, toggle this switch to "Off" to set custom hours of operation.

TIP: The selections made here apply to all the properties in the Property Access List. Use the Property Exceptions tab to set custom hours of operation for individual properties.

Property Exceptions

Use this section to individually set custom hours of operation for properties selected in the Property Access List field.

Membership Type Booking Discount Options Screen Reference

Discount

Use this section to discount bookings for space types that get booked over the course of a day. For example, your member has a meeting at five different properties, so they need to make five separate bookings. If they book spaces with the space type(s) selected here, their five bookings for that day are discounted based on the rates entered. These discounts reset daily.
