Setting a property's notice to vacate time frame

Updated over 2 months ago

A notice to vacate (NTV) is the written agreement between your organization and the member that the member will no longer occupy a space by a certain date. You can add an NTV to any active contract to track when a member approaches the property contact about discontinuing their contract. Kube allows you to set the number of days a member has before their contract's expiration to notify the property of their intention to leave.

This article is part of the Kube property setup flow. For more information, see Kube setup checklist.

NOTE: Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

Setting the Properties Notice to Vacate Timeframe

  1. Select Properties in the top menu.

  2. Locate the property in the grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.

  3. Select Setup in the side menu and select the Receivables tab.

  4. In the Contract Options section, click the Edit button.

  5. Enter the number of days or months in the Notice to Vacate field that a member has before their contract's expiration to notify the property of their intention to leave.

NOTE: This setting is inherited from the system settings or controlled by the NTV workflow. For more information, see Setting default contract options and Adding a notice to vacate workflow.

  6. Click Save.

TIP: The next step in the Kube property setup process is to add bank accounts, if you have not already done so. For more information, see Adding a property bank account.
