Retailers can increase customer retention and boost loyalty with yayloh store-credit. This is a great alternative to traditional refunds when customers decide to return an item. A store credit sent via yayloh for Shopify merchants can be either a gift card or a discount code. Read forward to understand which one can suit your business better based on your needs.

Gift cards:

  1. Gift cards can be used for cover delivery shipping costs.

  2. Gift cards are considered as a product on Shopify.

  3. Gift cards are assigned only to that one customer but can be used for multiple orders until the amount is exhausted.

  4. In case of returns of orders with a gift card payment method, you can refund the gift card back.

  5. The validity period is defined by Shopify.

  6. We add notes on both the gift card and the order to help cross-reference them.

Discount codes:

  1. One-time-use only for that one customer.

  2. Discount codes cannot be combined with a shipping code.

  3. Discount codes cannot be used to pay for delivery cost.

  4. Discount codes are listed separately in Shopify back-office.

  5. The default validity is picked from Shopify.

  6. We add notes on both the discount codes and the order to help cross-reference them.
