Processing a store-credit in yayloh

For processing one return request and sending one store-credit at a time

In case, you need to provide a store credit code to a customer of the desired amount in exchange for the product, you use the store-credit alternative.

Disclaimer:

If the customer paid for an order in a currency different than your store currency, then while creating store-credit as a discount, we convert payment currency to store currency and round it up to nearest tens digit.

Eg. if your store currency is USD and customer purchased a shirt for GBP 85. At x-rate, if USD amount is 104, we will roundup to 110 USD as discount.



How to process store-credits in yayloh

  1. Open yayloh dashboard and select “Manage” from the sidebar.

  2. Search and click on the order number.

  3. Click on “Make in progress” to move order to the “In progress” tab.

    Note: You can only process a store credit when the order is moved to the “in progress” status tab.

  4. OR You can also move multiple requests at the same time:

    1. Click on the bulk tab button. Select the appropriate action.

    2. Click on the arrow button “Move to in progress”.

  5. Go to “In progress” status tab and click on your order number you wish to process.

  6. Select “Store-credit” from the drop down tab. You have the option to overwrite the refund method or the return type if required.

  7. Select “Confirm” checkbox.

  8. Check the amount and if needed, overwrite the value in the text box.

  9. Click on “Apply”. A confirmation popup will come up, click “OK”.

  10. The return request will be automatically be moved to the processed tab.

In case of shopify discount codes and centra vouchers, yayloh will trigger a discount code notification email. In case of shopify giftcards, shopify will trigger a discount code email.

Note: Automation of store-credits for return requests on return shipping triggers and custom refund rule deductions can be set up by yayloh support team.


Store-credit in Shopify Back office

Discount code:

For your ease of reconciliation:

  1. yayloh discount codes start with ‘YAYY-’

  2. We add a note against the order with the discount code, value and associated email ID.

  3. Expiration date selected by by shopify admin default.

Gift card:

For your ease of reconciliation:

  1. yayloh giftcards start with ‘YAYY-’

  2. We add a note against the order with the gift card code, order number, id, value and associated email ID.

  3. We add a note against the gift card with the code, order number and source.

  4. Expiration date selected by by shopify admin default.

Store-credit in Centra Back office

  1. The voucher created by yayloh can be found in your Centra back office under 'Vouchers'.

  2. We include a comment on the original order that contains the voucher code, making cross-referencing easy.

Note: Store-credit and gift cards code generated through yayloh, always starts with YAYY so you can identify them in your Shopify/Centra back office under discount codes. We also add a note/comment against the discount code, giftcard or voucher generated so you can cross verify with the relevant order in your OMS.
