What happens if a customer wants to return an exchange order?

Customers can get automated refunds on exchange orders

When a customer requests an exchange, a new exchange order is created and automatically linked to the original order. If the customer later requests a refund, the refund is automatically applied to the original order once the return request is approved. The exchange order remains visible in the system with a value of "0."

Important: This feature is an opt-in retailer level setting and does not turn on automatically. You can enable it from the Settings > Exchanges.
