Go to Members in your workspace settings to review who belongs to the workspace, invite new members, and manage their workspace role.
Workspace roles and brand roles are managed separately. A user can have one role at workspace level and a different role for each brand.
Review workspace members
The Members page shows the people who currently belong to the workspace.
For each member, you can review:
Name
Email
Role
Status
The number of workspace members you can add depends on your plan:
Starter: up to 2 workspace members
Pro: unlimited workspace members
Enterprise: unlimited workspace members
Workspace roles
Workspace roles determine what a member can manage at workspace level.
Member — can access the workspace’s Brands, Members, and Integrations areas. Access to individual brands still depends on the brand role assigned to them.
Editor — can manage members, brands, and integrations. Editors can invite or remove workspace members, create, edit or remove brands, and manage brand settings.
Admin — can manage the workspace, including General Settings, Brands, Members, Integrations, and Plans & Billing. Admins can update the workspace name, delete the workspace, change the plan, and purchase extra prompts.
Owner — the user who created the workspace. The Owner has the same workspace management permissions as an Admin and is not a role that can be assigned when inviting or editing members.
Invite a workspace member
Select Invite member to add someone to the workspace.
Enter their:
Name
Email
Workspace role
Available workspace roles when inviting a member are:
Workspace Member
Workspace Editor
Workspace Admin
The Owner role is not available because it belongs to the user who created the workspace.
Assign brand roles
When inviting someone to the workspace, you can also decide which brands they can access.
Brand roles are separate from the member’s workspace role. You can assign a different role for each brand or apply the same access across all brands using:
View all
Edit all
Manage All
The available brand roles are:
Viewer
Editor
Manager
For example, someone can be a Workspace Member while being a Manager in one brand and a Viewer in another.
For details about what each brand role allows, see Manage Brand Members.
Change a workspace role
Open a member’s settings to change their workspace role.
A member can be changed between:
Member
Editor
Admin
Select Save changes after updating the role.
The Owner role cannot be assigned from this menu.
Deactivate a workspace member
Select Deactivate Member from the member’s settings to deactivate their access to the workspace.
This is different from removing someone from an individual brand. Removing a member from a brand only removes access to that brand; the person remains part of the workspace.
Workspace roles vs brand roles
The two permission levels serve different purposes:
Workspace roles control what someone can manage across the workspace.
Brand roles control what they can do inside each individual brand.
Brand roles are:
Viewer
Editor
Manager
See Manage Brand Members for the permissions associated with each role.
What’s next?
See Manage Brand Members to learn how to assign and update access within individual brands.
