This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of setting up and managing your fleet of drivers in YourDriverApp. The basic principles are similar to how you work with a group in WhatsApp or Telegram. But with all driver specific features, YourDriverApp has so much more to offer.

YourDriverApp is specifically made for the independent driver who has gathered a group of fellow drivers with whom he cooperates and dispatches rides. The app gives you the option to book, plan, process and administer jobs with your own secure group. Easy to use and free for all drivers you invite in your group!

Let us go though the steps of how to get started:

Step 1: Connect with your network of drivers
​Building your network by connecting with drivers in your contact list is the first step to successfully integrating YourDriverApp into your business.

Staying connected with a strong network of fellow drivers is of great importance for any taxi or limo driver. Connecting with a driver makes it possible to share availability and location. Based on this information it also gives you the option to exchange jobs or information with them via chat. The more connected you are, the more work can be exchanged.

The app helps you to differentiate who’s who in your phone’s contact list. Your phone contacts can be found on the contacts tab in YourDriverApp.

Step 2: Jobs & dispatching
Now that your network of drivers is all set up you can start working with this group by creating, planning, dispatching and administering jobs to your private network!

You can create jobs either from the Jobs tab

or from within your group. In the Jobs tab you find a blue 'New job' button on the bottom right of your screen. Tap the blue 'New Job' button to create a new job. Click here. if you want to know more about the available options.

Every ride you create in YourDriverApp will be available in the job overview. All valuable information about your jobs, such as booking and passenger details and driver information, can be found in the job detail screen.

Dispatching
Dispatching a job with YourDriverApp is an extremely powerful feature. You can assign each job to the driver of your choice or you can let the system take the work off your hands by allowing automated dispatching within your private group of choice. For example, share an assigned trip as a link in your existing WhatsApp, Telegram or email group. The driver who accepts first, gets the trip, including all trip details. Super-fast and easy and always within your secure group.

Step 3 (Optional): Set up your private group

A group can be referred to as collection/fleet of drivers that can be used for more efficient job distribution and communication. Once you have created your group, the live status and GPS location of the group members are displayed in the app. The location of group members is displayed on a map or in a list where the driving direction and approximate current speed are also displayed. This information can be viewed by all group members or only by group admins, depending on the group settings.

Before you can create your first group, we first ask you to build your network by marking 10 drivers from your phone contact list. After this we reward you with a free Dispatcher membership.

With the steps above you already have a complete mobile dispatch solution where you can manage your fleet of drivers and distribute jobs. Fleet owners that wish to do more also have the option to upgrade to our Fleet Solutions package.
