Why is my card or wallet locked?

My debit card or wallet type is locked, how can I troubleshoot?

This article provides common reasons why a wallet or card type may be locked, disabled, or suspended, along with troubleshooting steps.

All payouts attempted on a locked card will fail, so try other wallets if you need a payout immediately.

You tried the wrong PIN too many times.

Call cardholder services (the number on the back of your card).

Your bank has blocked your card due to security concerns.

Contact your bank to make sure your card is active.

You previously asked to disable your card/wallet (for security, vacation, etc.)

Contact a live ZayZoon agent via chat to verify your identity and re-enable the wallet.

You attempted a purchase that may have been flagged as a potential fraud.

For credit cards, call cardholder services (the number on the back of your card).

For debit cards, contact your bank to confirm your card is not locked. Then contact a live ZayZoon agent via chat to verify your identity.

You locked the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card* from your bank portal

Unlock the card from your bank portal or log in to the ZayZoon app.

Click on the ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card section and select "Unlock Card".

You have a ZayZoon Prepaid Visa Card* and your direct deposit is not set up or has stopped.

Provide your employer with:

  1. the accounting number, and

  2. the routing number for your card.

Once the system receives your updated payroll information, you'll have free payouts again!

*The ZayZoon Visa Prepaid Card is currently only available for U.S. customers.
