Frequently asked questions for troubleshooting Instant Gift Cards

Why is the Instant Gift Card amount different than the payout I requested?

Some retailers only offer gift cards in specific increments (e.g. $20, 50, $100).

In these cases, your payout amount will be adjusted so your gift card value is closest to amount you selected. Your repayment amount will automatically be adjusted as well.

For example, let’s say you select a $100 payout and choose a gift card with a $10 Boost:

Retailer that supports any gift card value

Retailer that supports $20 incremental gift card values

  • Payout amount = $100

  • Boost amount = $10

  • Total gift card value = $110

  • Payout amount = $90

  • Boost amount = $10

  • Total gift card value = $100

Please double-check your gift card and payout amounts before completing your payout request.


Why didn't I receive my Instant Gift Card?

Here are some troubleshooting steps if you have not yet received your Instant Giftcard:

  1. Check your Spam/Junk folder for an email from Prizeout.

  2. Make sure Prizeout is not a blocked sender in your email settings.

  3. Wait a couple of hours (certain retailers have longer wait times).

  4. If you're waiting for Proof of Work approval, wait for the next day.

If you're still unable to find the Gift Card, contact the Prizeout Help Center.


Why can't I claim or redeem my Instant Gift Card?

If you have any issues claiming your virtual gift card or redeeming it at the selected retail partner, contact the Prizeout Help Center.


Why is my Instant Gift Card expired?

US Federal Law dictates that gift cards cannot expire within 5 years from the date of purchase. For more information on specific gift cards, reach out to the retailer’s support team.
