A no-show occurs when an invitee fails to attend a scheduled meeting without canceling it in advance. Zeeg allows you to mark these events as no-shows, helping you track attendance patterns, maintain accurate records, and automatically trigger follow-up workflows such as reminder emails or SMS messages.
How to Mark an Event as No-Show
Marking an event as a no-show in Zeeg can be done directly from your Meetings dashboard.
1. All you have to do is to select the meeting you'd like to mark, and locate locate the "Mark as no-show" button on the right side.
2. The event status will immediately change to "No-show" and this information will be recorded in your Zeeg analytics.
Benefits of Tracking No-Shows
1. Accurate reporting and analytics
When you mark events as no-shows, this data appears in your Zeeg Analytics Dashboard, giving you insights into:
Total number of no-shows over any time period
No-show rate as a percentage of total bookings
Trends in attendance patterns
Comparison with previous periods
This information helps you identify if no-shows are becoming a problem and allows you to take proactive measures.
2. Automated workflow triggers
Marking an event as a no-show can automatically trigger workflows you've configured in Zeeg, such as:
Follow-up emails and/or SMS to invitee(s)
Follow-up emails and/or SMS to host(s)
This automation ensures that your no-shows don't fall through the cracks and helps you re-engage contacts who missed their appointments. You can configure the message. For example, you can provide your booking link for them to re-schedule a meeting.
3. Contact and company insights
No-show tracking will be seen on Zeeg's CRM, allowing you to:
View no-show history on individual contact records
Identify contacts with patterns of missing appointments
Segment contacts based on attendance reliability
Create custom follow-up strategies for unreliable contacts
Frequently Asked Questions
Can invitees see that they've been marked as a no-show?
No, the no-show status is only visible to you and your team members within your Zeeg organization. Invitees will not receive any notification that they've been marked as a no-show unless you configure a workflow to send them a message.
β
Can I change a no-show status back to completed?
Yes, you can update the status at any time by clicking on the meeting and changing the status field in the Event Details panel.
β
Will marking someone as a no-show affect their ability to book future meetings?
No, marking an event as no-show does not automatically prevent that contact from booking future appointments. However, you can use this data to create custom workflows or manually manage booking permissions for contacts with repeated no-shows.
β
Does marking a meeting as no-show delete it from my calendar?
No, the meeting remains in your Zeeg Meetings list and your connected calendar. It is simply marked with a different status on your Zeeg dashboard, for tracking purposes (and to automate a workflow, in case you'd like to).
