Round-Robin events automatically distribute appointments across your team members. With attendee host selection enabled, your customers can choose which team member they want to meet with. That's especially useful when they've already been in contact with someone or received a specific recommendation. If they don't select anyone, the system defaults to your standard Round-Robin distribution.
How to enable attendee host selection
1. Go to your Zeeg Dashboard and navigate to Scheduling Pages in the left sidebar
2. Select your Round-Robin event (or create a new one)
3. In the event editor, find the Hosts section on the left and toggle on "Allow attendees to select host"
4. Click Save
Once enabled, a dropdown menu with all available hosts will appear on your booking page, with "System assignment" pre-selected as the default.
What attendees see
When attendees visit your booking page, they'll see a host selection dropdown with:
All team members assigned to the Round-Robin event
"System assignment" as the default option
Each host's name and profile information (if configured)
Attendees can either choose a specific host or leave it on "System assignment" to let the system assign automatically. After making their choice, they'll see only the time slots when their selected host is available.
How it affects distribution
When attendees choose a specific host:
The appointment is assigned directly to that host
It counts toward that host's booking total
Round-Robin logic adjusts for future automatic assignments
When attendees keep "System assignment":
Your configured distribution method applies (even distribution, random, or weighted)
Fair workload distribution continues as normal
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I hide certain hosts from the dropdown while keeping them in Round-Robin?
No, all hosts assigned to the event will appear in the dropdown when this feature is enabled.
Does this work with weighted Round-Robin distribution?
Yes. When attendees select "System assignment," your weighted settings apply. Specific host choices override the weighting.
Will this create unbalanced distribution?
It depends on attendee behavior. If most leave it on "Random selection," distribution stays balanced. If many choose the same host, that person receives more bookings.
Can attendees see each host's availability before selecting?
No, but once they select a host (or leave it random), the calendar shows only that host's available time slots.
Does this affect other Round-Robin settings like buffer times?
No. Attendee selection works alongside all your other configurations including buffer times, maximum bookings, and working hours.
Can I change the meeting type of a scheduling page?
No. The meeting type is set at the moment you create a scheduling page and determines how Zeeg handles availability, participants, and booking logic behind the scenes. Changing it after creation would affect the scheduling rules in ways that could lead to conflicts or unexpected behavior β so it is locked once the page is live.
