Customize your scheduling pages with advanced configuration options to match your exact scheduling needs and workflow requirements.

Advanced scheduling settings give you fine-grained control over how your scheduling pages behave. Configure stack mode to group meetings together, hide scheduling pages from your public profile, control time zone displays, and choose which calendar receives new appointments. These settings apply per scheduling page, allowing you to customize each page's behavior independently.

Advanced scheduling settings are available on all scheduling pages and event types you create. Some event types (like Round-Robin or Collective) are only available on specific pricing plans.

How to access your scheduling page advanced settings

To configure advanced settings for your scheduling page:

1. On the left menu, choose Scheduling Pages and click on scheduling page you want to edit

2. Navigate to Advanced in the left sidebar

Which advanced settings can you configure on your scheduling pages?

Language settings

Choose the display language for your scheduling page. This determines the language used for:

  • Button labels and interface text

  • Date and time formats

  • Email notifications to invitees

  • Confirmation page messages

Configuration: Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu.

Buffer settings

Buffers create breathing room between your meetings, giving you time to prepare, wrap up, or simply take a break. Zeeg makes sure your calendar cannot be booked a certain time before and/or after your meetings.

Buffer before event

Set the minimum amount of free time required before each scheduled meeting. This ensures you have time to:

  • Review meeting materials

  • Prepare your workspace

  • Transition from your previous activity

  • Join the call early if needed

Buffer after event

Set the minimum amount of free time required after each scheduled meeting. This gives you time to:

  • Write follow-up notes

  • Complete action items while they're fresh

  • Prepare for the next meeting

  • Handle meetings that run slightly over

Using buffers effectively

Light schedule: 5-10 minute buffers for quick transitions

Back-to-back meetings: 15-30 minute buffers to prevent burnout

Complex discussions: 30+ minute buffers for detailed note-taking

Tip: Buffers work together. A 15-minute before buffer and 15-minute after buffer means 30 minutes of protected time around each meeting.

Booking limits

Restrict the maximum number of appointments that can be scheduled per day or per week on this scheduling page. Once the limit is reached, no more time slots will be shown for that day.

Use cases:

  • Energy management: Cap consultations at 4 per day to maintain quality

  • Resource constraints: Limit equipment-dependent appointments

  • Balanced scheduling: Prevent overwhelming days while keeping other days available

  • Event capacity: Control attendance for group sessions or workshops

Example: If you set a limit of 5 bookings and 5 people have already scheduled for Tuesday, Tuesday will appear unavailable to new invitees—even if you technically have free time slots.

Configuration: Enter the maximum number of bookings, select if the limit is per day or week. You can also leave it empty for unlimited bookings.

Minimum scheduling notice

Prevent last-minute bookings by requiring a minimum lead time before meetings can be scheduled.

Common settings:

  • 30 minutes: For flexible, informal meetings

  • 2-4 hours: Standard for most business calls

  • 24 hours: Professional consultations and sales demos

  • 2-3 days: In-depth sessions requiring significant preparation

  • 1 week: Executive meetings or complex workshops

Configuration: Enter the number and select the unit (Min/Hrs/Days).

Limit future bookings

Control how far into the future invitees can see your availability and schedule appointments.

Options:

  • Based on calendar days: Fixed number of days from today

  • Based on business days: Only counts working days (excludes weekends)

  • Based on date range: Set a specific end date. Useful for temporary scheduling pages or limited-time offers

  • Indefinitely into the future

Use cases:

  • Capacity planning: Limit visibility to what you can realistically handle

  • Seasonal businesses: Restrict bookings to your operating season

  • Prevent over-commitment: Keep far-future commitments manageable

  • Trial periods: Offer limited scheduling for new services

Configuration: Select the booking period type from the dropdown menu, then enter the number of days.

Time-slot intervals

Control the increments at which available time slots are displayed to invitees.

How it works: If your meeting duration is 30 minutes and your interval is 15 minutes, invitees can book at:

  • 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM

  • 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM

  • 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM

  • And so on...

Common interval settings: Same as meeting duration for clean time blocks, smaller intervals (15-min) for maximum flexibility, or larger intervals (60-min) for natural gaps between meetings.

Time zone display

Control how time zones are shown on your scheduling page. You have two options:

Automatic (recommended for virtual meetings)

  • Zeeg detects the invitee's time zone automatically

  • Time slots display in the invitee's local time

  • Both parties receive calendar invites in their correct time zones

  • Eliminates confusion for remote meetings across time zones

Locked to a specific time zone

  • All time slots display in a fixed time zone you select

  • Example: "9:00 AM EST" appears the same for all invitees regardless of their location

  • Recommended for in-person meetings at a specific location

  • Prevents confusion when invitees are traveling

Configuration: Toggle between automatic detection or select a specific time zone from the dropdown.

‘Add to calendar’ option

Choose which calendar receives appointments booked through this scheduling page.

Options:

Use Calendar Connections settings (default)

  • Events are added based on your global calendar settings

  • Consistent behavior across all scheduling pages

  • Simplest option for most users

Add to a specific calendar

  • Override global settings for this scheduling page only

  • Route events to a designated calendar

  • Perfect for separating work and personal scheduling

Do not add to a calendar

  • Zeeg won't create calendar events for bookings

  • Email confirmations are still sent to both parties

  • Useful for tracking-only scenarios

Common use cases:

  • Work scheduling pages → Work calendar

  • Personal coaching → Personal calendar

  • Client A meetings → Client A calendar and Client B meetings → Client B calendar

  • Sales calls → Sales team calendar

  • Support sessions → Support calendar

Configuration: Select the calendar destination from the dropdown menu. Additional settings to add after calendar destination:

Other advanced options:

Back-to-back scheduling (Stack mode): Only show one available time slot immediately before or after each booked event per day, creating a "stack" of consecutive meetings. After the first event is scheduled, only the adjacent time slot becomes available for the next booking.

Verify invitee's email: Require email verification before completing the booking. Invitees must click a confirmation link sent to their inbox before the booking is finalized, reducing spam and ensuring valid contact information.

Redirect after booking: Automatically redirect invitees to a custom URL after booking, such as a payment page, thank-you page with instructions, or onboarding materials.

Max events per host (Round-Robin only): Limit the maximum number of appointments each team member can receive in Round-Robin scheduling before distribution continues. This balances workload and prevents any single person from being overloaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use buffers and booking limits together?

Yes. All advanced settings work in combination. For example, you can have 15-minute buffers AND limit bookings to 5 per day.

What happens if I set a minimum notice to 24 hours on a Friday?

If someone visits your page on Friday at 3:00 PM, they cannot book any slots before Saturday at 3:00 PM (even if you're working Saturday).

Does the booking period start from today or from when someone visits the page?

It starts from when the invitee visits your scheduling page. If your period is 60 days and someone visits on January 1st, they can see availability through March 1st.

Can time-slot intervals be smaller than my meeting duration?

Yes. A 30-minute meeting with 15-minute intervals means someone could book 9:15-9:45, allowing more flexible scheduling throughout the day.

If I change the language setting, does it affect my account language?

No. The language setting only affects this specific scheduling page's display language for invitees. Your dashboard language remains unchanged.

What happens to bookings if I add a booking limit later?

Existing bookings are not affected. The limit only applies to new bookings going forward. If 7 meetings are already scheduled for a day and you set a limit of 5, those 7 meetings remain scheduled.

Does minimum scheduling notice account for my time zone or the invitee's?

The notice period is calculated based on your time zone (the host's time zone), ensuring consistent lead time regardless of where invitees are located.

Can I set different advanced settings for different scheduling pages?

Yes. Each scheduling page has its own independent advanced settings. Your 15-minute quick call can have different settings than your 1-hour consultation.
