Back-to-back scheduling (also called stack mode) changes how Zeeg displays available time slots to your invitees. Once a meeting is booked on a given day, Zeeg will only show the time slot immediately before or after that existing booking — instead of showing all available slots for the day. This keeps your meetings grouped together and protects the rest of your calendar.
Back-to-back scheduling is available on all Zeeg plans, including the free Starter plan.
How back-to-back scheduling works
When this feature is disabled (the default), invitees can book any available slot across your entire day. When enabled, Zeeg progressively stacks new meetings directly next to already-booked ones.
Here's an example for a 30 minute meeting: If your availability runs from 8:00 to 17:00 and someone books a 30-minute meeting at 12:00–12:30, the next invitee will only be offered 11:30 or 12:30 — not any other slot in the day. As more meetings get booked, they continue to stack around each other, back-to-back.
All your other availability settings — buffers, daily limits, and working hours — are still respected.
How to enable back-to-back scheduling
1. Go to your Zeeg Dashboard and find the scheduling page you want to configure and click on it to open it
2. In the left sidebar, click on Advanced
3. Scroll to the Back-to-back scheduling section and toggle the setting on
Once enabled, the change takes effect immediately for any new bookings on that scheduling page.
When to use back-to-back scheduling
Back-to-back scheduling works well if you want to:
Protect large blocks of uninterrupted focus time
Avoid scattered meetings spread across your day
Keep a specific part of your day free by anchoring bookings to a particular window
It is especially useful for consultation-heavy roles where meeting density on certain days is expected, while other days should remain clear.
FAQ
Does back-to-back scheduling apply to all my scheduling pages? No. The setting is configured per scheduling page, so you can enable it on some pages and leave it off on others.
Will existing bookings be affected when I enable this? No. Only new bookings made after enabling the setting will follow the back-to-back logic. Existing meetings on your calendar are not changed.
What happens if no meeting is booked yet on a given day? If no meeting exists on a day yet, all your normally available time slots are shown to the first invitee. Back-to-back stacking begins as soon as the first booking is made for that day.
Does this work with buffer times? Yes. If you have buffers configured before or after your events, Zeeg will account for them when calculating which adjacent slot to show next.
