What are notice periods? Notice periods let you define the minimum amount of time required before an invitee can book, cancel, or reschedule a meeting with you. This gives you control over last-minute changes and helps protect your calendar from unexpected disruptions.

Where to find notice period settings

Notice periods are configured per scheduling page, inside the Limits section.

  1. Go to your Dashboard

  2. Find the scheduling page you want to configure

  3. Click Advanced from the left menu

  4. Find the Notice Periods section

Minimum scheduling notice

Minimum scheduling notice prevents last-minute bookings. When enabled, Zeeg will ensure that the earliest available timeslot shown to an invitee is at least a certain amount of time away from the moment they are scheduling.

Example: If you set a minimum scheduling notice of 2 hours, and an invitee opens your booking page at 10:00 AM, the earliest available slot they will see is 12:00 PM.

How to set it

  1. In the Notice Periods section, locate Minimum scheduling notice

  2. Enter a number in the input field

  3. Select the time unit: Min, Hrs, or Days

Minimum cancellation notice

Minimum cancellation notice prevents last-minute cancellations. When enabled, Zeeg will not allow an invitee to cancel a meeting if it falls within a certain time range before the event starts.

Example: If you set a minimum cancellation notice of 24 hours, an invitee can no longer cancel a meeting that is less than 24 hours away.

How to set it

  1. In the Notice Periods section, toggle on Minimum cancellation notice

  2. Enter a number and select the time unit: Min, Hrs, or Days

Minimum rescheduling notice

Minimum rescheduling notice prevents last-minute rescheduling. When enabled, Zeeg will not allow an invitee to reschedule a meeting if it falls within a certain time range before the event starts.

Example: If you set a minimum rescheduling notice of 48 hours, an invitee cannot move a meeting that is less than 48 hours away.

How to set it

  1. In the Notice Periods section, toggle on Minimum rescheduling notice

  2. Enter a number and select the time unit: Min, Hrs, or Days

FAQ

Can I set different notice periods for different scheduling pages? Yes. Notice periods are configured individually per scheduling page, so you can apply different rules depending on the type of meeting.

What happens if an invitee tries to cancel or reschedule within the notice period? They will not be able to complete the action. Zeeg will block the cancellation or reschedule request if it falls within the defined time range before the event.

Does minimum scheduling notice affect my own availability settings? No. It only controls what timeslots are shown to invitees. Your actual availability and calendar conflicts are still taken into account separately.

Can I set the notice period in minutes, hours, and days? You can select one time unit per setting β€” either minutes (Min), hours (Hrs), or days (Days). Enter the number and pick the appropriate unit.
