Rituals

What are rituals?

Rituals are regular, consistent actions or habits which your organisation can adopt to improve your sustainability by being more efficient (i.e switching off lights or holding monthly sustainability progress meetings)

You can use Rituals for best practices and habits which can be implemented immediately with minimal resources. Zellar will recommend a few to get started with - you may find you already do several of these but the idea is to be able to formally document your actions and engage your organisation.

How can I add a new ritual?

Visit your rituals and head to 'Add check' at the bottom of your weekly or monthly rituals. Then you can either choose another check from Zellar's list or create a custom one! It's worth reviewing this list on a quarterly basis to keep up with the changing seasons, any new technology installations or new ideas from your green team!

Can I edit or remove a Ritual?

Yes! Rituals are designed to be flexible, so if you upgrade systems or change offices which mean some checks no longer apply, you can 'Edit List' at the bottom of each ritual.

Can I involve my team in rituals?

It's like you've read the best practice playbook - absolutely! Rituals are designed to engage your entire organisation, whether you want to keep them in the loop or have them carry out the actions.

To share these lists, head into your rituals and click the blue 'Share' button to generate a URL, print or share as a PDF. Employees will then be able to see the list and check them off. If they have any ideas or thoughts, encourage them to share these so you can add them in future!

Projects

What are projects?

Projects are larger, goal-orientated initiatives which will involve planning, execution and measurable outcomes e.g Installing solar panels or implementing volunteer days for staff.

To get started with projects, Zellar recommends starting with all the projects which you have done, mark these as complete and then start to look at projects which are in progress or what you would like to do in future.

Can Zellar recommend Projects for me?

Zellar will suggest projects based on your sustainability goals, emissions data and industry sector. These recommendations also include step-by-step guidance if you're not quite sure how to start.

We are adding new projects to the library regularly, so keep your eyes peeled!

I can't find a project we have done in the project library. What should I do?

You should tell us about it! We want Zellar to be a best practice and collaboration platform. If you have a great project idea or something which has helped to reduce your emissions or support your community, we want to hear about it!

Fill out our project request form and we will be in touch.

Can I edit or remove a Project?

Have you added a project which you want to edit? Or had a change of plan? Not a problem. Near the top of the projects page under 'Your progress', you can view your action plan or your project history to make any changes you need.

Can I include Rituals and Projects in reports?

Music to our ears! Planned and completed projects will automatically be included in any report you choose to download. If you would also like to include rituals in this, please let us know when you request your report!
