How To Tag Items In ZenCase

Overview

There are several ways to add a tag to an item in Zencase. You can use tags to organize your items so you can quickly find what you are looking for when viewing lists.

Tags are available for the following items:

  • Contacts

  • Matters

  • Zen KM Items

  • Tasks

  • Charges

  • Invoices (only bulk)

  • Payments (only bulk)

  • Trust Transactions (only bulk)

How To Tag New Items

  • Go to the Item (Contacts, Matters, Tasks, etc) list page from left navigation bar.

  • You will see the list of items in a table.

  • Click "Add Item (Client, Matter, Task, etc)".

  • Fill all required fields.

  • Select "Tags" from dropdown.

  • Click "Save".

You have successfully added a tag to a new item.

How To Tag Existing Items

  • Go to Item (Contacts, Matters, Tasks, etc) list page.

  • You will see the list of items in a table.

  • Under the Actions column, click the "..." three dots icon.

  • Click "Edit Item (Client, Matter, Task, etc)".

  • Select "Tags" from dropdown.

  • Click "Save".

You have successfully added a tag to an item.

How To Tag When Viewing An Item

  • Go to the Item (Contacts, Matters, Tasks, etc) list page from left navigation bar.

  • You will see the list of items in a table.

  • Click on the Item name or you may see an eye icon in the Actions column.

  • You should be redirected to the Item details page.

  • Select "Tags" from dropdown.

  • After selecting a tag, you will see "Changes saved" display in the upper right corner of the page.

You have successfully add a tag from the item's details page.

Bulk Tag Items

  • Go to the Item (Contacts, Matters, Tasks, etc) list page from left navigation bar.

  • You will see the list of items in a table.

  • Select the checkbox for multiple items in the list.

  • Click "Bulk action".

  • Click "Add Tags".

  • Select "Tags" from dropdown.

  • Click "Save".

You have successfully added a tag to multiple items.
