How to Set Up and Use Passkeys in Ziina for Account Login and Security
Ensuring account security is essential for a seamless experience. Passkeys offer enhanced security and convenience for logging into your Ziina account. This article provides a step-by-step guide on setting up and using passkeys, troubleshooting common issues, and leveraging device-specific advantages like Apple’s built-in authentication.
What Are Passkeys?
Passkeys are a password-less login solution that uses your device's biometric or PIN capabilities to authenticate your identity securely. These keys assist in ensuring both convenience and safety in account management.
Setting Up a Passkey in Ziina
Follow these steps to create a passkey, which can be used for secure login into your Ziina account:
Log in to your Ziina account.
Navigate to Settings → Security → Passkey.
Select Create New Passkey.
Follow the prompts to complete the setup process manually.
Alternatively:
Open the Ziina app and go to Profile or Settings → Security → Passkeys.
Tap Add Passkey and follow on-screen instructions.
Logging In on a New Device Using Passkeys
If you need to log in to Ziina on a new device, you have two options:
QR Code Login Method: - On the new device, select the QR code login option. - Use the original device (used to set up your Ziina account) to scan the QR code. - Once scanned, you will gain access to your new device without needing a passkey again.
Passkey Authentication: If your passkey is stored on the new device through features like iCloud Keychain (Apple), it will automatically be available.
Passkey Setup on Apple Devices
To leverage Apple's strong authentication support:
Enable iCloud Keychain: Ensure iCloud Keychain is enabled in your device's Apple ID settings.
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Multi-Factor Authentication should be active on your Apple ID.
Once these prerequisites are met, you can authenticate seamlessly using Face ID or Touch ID to set up and use your Ziina passkey.
